Lotus Garden Hostel Izmir

Achei o lugar horrível, só perdi meu dinheiro, nem dormi lá, aluguei um hotel e abandonei esse local. Não indico a ninguém.

I got a heavy dose of bed bug bites from here. The atmosphere was really nice with lovely staff. The heat in the rooms was unbearably hot with very limited AC available.

我见过最差的hostel，希望大家选择这间旅社的时候，千万慎重考虑，卫生和味道不用说了，而且客人也是很混杂，还好我自己租了一个车子，我宁愿在车上对付了一个晚上……

Non ci tornerei. Avrebbe buone potenzialità, ma è tutto molto trascurato. La posizione non è il massimo per una donna sola, la pulizia scarsa. Assolutamente non vale quello che paghi.

The hostel toilets were stinking of piss that has not been cleaned for years, the staff are rude and antisocial. The location is in the worst area of Izmir, and the rooms are cramped with very old bunk beds

Personal muy amable, pero muchas deficiencias. Casa muy antigua y en malas condiciones, mala ventilación y olor a alcantarilla en los baños y a humedad en las habitaciones (la ropa de cama también). Cucarachas. No hay aire acondicionado en las habitaciones y se hacía sofocante

Leider eines der dreckigsten Hostels in denen ich je war. Es is günstig, ja, aber es müffelt unglaublich in allen Räumen… sowohl die Schlafräume, als auch die Küche & co sind wirklich nicht leicht aushaltbar. 1 Nacht hat gereicht - meine Kleidung war so muffelig und hat (ohne sie getragen zu haben) wirklich gestunken nach meinem Aufenthalt. Das Bad war leider auch wirklich auf einem sehr tiefen Niveau (ob Sauberkeit oder Ausstattung) und nur ein kurz ertragbar. Ausserdem überall viele Fl...

Leider waren die Badezimmer sehr schmutzig und es gab keinerlei Aktivitäten welche vom Hostel aus organisiert wurden.

This place is in desperate need to renovate chicken and bathroom drain systems. Washbasin and sink were often blocked. Bathrooms smelled of sewer. General standard of cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, especially bathrooms and kitchen. Bedroom was OK although the one I slept in had a smelly corner.

We stayed 2 nights in this hostel and I am very sorry to give such a bad review but it was by far the worst hostel we stayed in during our month long backpacking trip. The location is not recommendable! Especially as women we felt extremely uncomfortable walking around in this part of the city- even more after sunset! Especially as a female solo traveller I would really recommend you to stay elsewhere! H The hostel itself was not clean, the kitchen was very dirty so where the bathrooms.

While I really liked the overall atmosphere, I booked a 6 bed with curtains but was given the 8 bed without curtains (but still was charged 10 bucks more). I brought this up with staff and was told they weren’t sure how it happened but the 6 bed was full, wasn’t offered a refund/anything else. The power was also off for a few hours the next evening so couldn’t shower, and wasn’t given a tour/any introduction to the hostel so didn’t feel very welcome.

The hostel was ok, didn't feelreally safe in that part of the city. The staff was nice, a good common area and the kitchen seemed alright too. No locker and it can get a bit crowdet with all the suitcases in the room. The bed was alright, the bathrooms not really clean.

One of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed at across over 100. The lounge is so social and homely. Big reccs.

Hello :) the stay at this hostel was amazing!! The staff was super welcoming, the chickens, the garden outside and the fireplace inside created a warm relaxed atmosphere.. the breakfast was quite cheap and super fresh and delicious. The hostel guests were sweet too. The kitchen is big and well equipped for cooking. My only critique is that the bath rooms and toilets were not super clean (which is quite normal in Hostels).. thank you so much for the warm home you were to us in Izmir!

Very cute hostel near the center of Izmir, very welcoming atmosphere ( cats, guitars and friendly people to talk to). I really liked the garden and the cozy ambience in the common area.

This place has a lovely vibe, it's a super interesting and unique space. However the public spaces could have done with a deep clean and a little more love (like replacing broken kitchen cupboard doors), that said, I would definitely stay again if I were in Izmir.

I stayed 2 nights at the Lotus garden for a break at Izmir during my bike trip, and it was great. The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere super relaxing and there was even a bike garage. I could also wash my clothes and got a extra breakfast with fruits from their own gardens (both was at extra costs though). The hostel is also very well located, next to the Agora and the Kultur park. Lastly it was the first hostel that was actually caring about recycling. ❤️

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is chill with access to a kitchen and coffee supplies. I arrived at night and left at night and didn’t love the surrounding neighborhood but maybe it is better during the daytime. Facilities were comfortable and clean. The showers could use an upgrade as wood flooring is not very hygienic but other than that, this was a great place to stay.

I really liked and enjoyed my short time here. I wish I had more time to enjoy other spots in the area and the hostel. Very well located, near to the train station and also connected to the bus station. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and also the place is eco-friendly. It is a beautiful house that seems having a lot of love and effort.

This was a good hostel. It’s an amazing old house so bathrooms and kitchen facilities are in working order, not great. It was a good stay for just a couple of nights. I would recommend this place if you’re ever in Izmir!

An amazing place where travellers of all ages come together and socialise!

I didn’t see the other hostels, but Lotus garden could easly be the best one. Everything you can expect from a good hostel.

Super homey hostel, like an oasis within the city! Great location (at night the area can feel a little dodgy, inside feels so safe tho), so close to the main train station (like a 2min walk). Great common area and kitchen - loved the stay there!
