- Riad très humide, froid et très sombre. Éclairage insuffisant dans les chambres dépourvues du moindre appareil de chauffage. Les chambres sont étroites, sans lumière naturelle. Escaliers très raides, comme des échelles meunières, dangereux. Salle de bain indigente, robinetterie. hors d'âge qui goutte. Wifi aléatoire. Nous avons été obligés de superposer des couettes pour ne pas avoir froid dans le lit. L'impression de vivre dans une cave. Il

+ Saadia the manager was the only saving grace of this establishment. She was so nice and welcoming, truly a wonderful person! The Riad is well located inside the Medina, with a view of the sea on the terrace.

- I picked this place based on the good reviews. There were 4 of us, sorely disappointed in what was a very basic, uncomfortable place, dark and damp, especially compared to several other riads in Essaouira. Beds were uncomfortable, sagging in the middle. I had to cover my pillowcase with my own sarong as the bedding fabric was so rough. Questionable plastic bath mats in the bathroom that had seen better days, no water pressure, no bath soap, a mean beige plastic shower curtain. My family didn’t shower during our 2-day stay because they were repelled by the bathroom facilities. Thank goodness we found a hammam nearby. There is no real space downstairs to sit down, it was dark and unwelcoming. We wanted to leave right away, spoke to the owner who said she would charge us the first night stay, which is fair. We decided to stay as it was high season and it hard to find another place and it was only 2 nights. I do not recommend this place, which is a poor value for money proposition.

- Nous avons séjourné dans deux chambres différentes. La salle de bain de la chambre du 3e étage est privative mais est à l'extérieur de la chambre. Dans la chambre du 2e étage le niveau d'humidité était tellement élevé que les tapis et les draps étaient mouillés.

- pas tellement propre, coupure d’électricité et pas d’internet dans les chambres. très bruyant le soir.

- Le Riad est très sombre, la salle de bain toute petite quand vous êtes sur les toilettes vous avez les pieds dans la douche. Surtout ce qui m’a dérangé le plus c’est que vous entendez tout ce qui se passe dans la chambre d’à côté. Tout ce qu’il raconte, tout ce qu’ils font, même quand ils sont aux toilettes vous entendez tout.

+ Place is very well decorated and nice, atmosphere also. The worker there Saddia was very helpful and super nice. She prepared great breakfast.

- I booked last minute for 2 nights, the next day I changed my travel plans and just wanted to stay 1 night. I asked to shorten my stay less than 24 hours after booking it, the owners of this place were not flexible at all, and started shouting at me over the phone. Felt very rude and unwelcoming. I always figured a good host should try to ease the travel experience rather than making it more complicated. Bed was not very comfortable Low value for money

+ Nice, beautiful old Riad, wonderful rooftop terrace, excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff. Ideal location in the medina.

- Rooms were rather dark and a bit moist. Acoustically you share the house. The bathroom could get some modernization or renovation.

+ We booked a last minute accomodation and we found this nice riad, exceptionally located in the centre of Essauira. Staff were very kind and welcoming. Room was very clean and spacious. Great quality- price for an adventure in Marocco!

+ Le Riad est bien situé dans la médina et à côté des remparts. Saadia est au top, très accueillante et super gentille et attentionnée. Les petits déjeuners sont très bon. Nous avons pris un repas préparé par Saadia, qui était excellent .

+ Me encantó este Riad. Muy bien ubicado, el personal amabilísimo, muy atentos con todo lo que necesitábamos y nos facilitaron mucho nuestra estancia. Nos recomendaron sitios que visitar, restaurantes donde comer y tiene unas vistas en la terraza muy bonitas desde donde puedes ver el mar y Essaouira.

+ Abbiamo soggiornato nel riad Dar Afram di Sadia a Essaouira e siamo stati benissimo. Il riad è curato, accogliente e pieno di atmosfera, un luogo dove rilassarsi davvero dopo aver esplorato la città e l’oceano. Sadia è una donna bellissima e straordinaria, non solo per la sua presenza ma per la sua energia, la sua gentilezza e la cura con cui si prende dei suoi ospiti. Ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. La colazione in terrazza, preparata da lei, è stata un momento speciale: ottima, abbondante e servita con attenzione e sorriso. Iniziare la giornata così, con vista sui tetti di Essaouira, ha reso il soggiorno ancora più memorabile. Consigliamo il suo riad a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza autentica e sentirsi davvero accolto.

+ We had the most wonderful stay at this magnificent Riad of Saira and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with extraordinary warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel at home, always attentive, caring, and smiling. We felt incredibly well looked after throughout our entire stay. The breakfast was simply exceptional, generous, fresh, and delicious, served with great care and love, making every morning a real moment of pleasure. The rooms are beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, calm, and perfectly maintained, offering a true haven of peace after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of this riad is without a doubt the rooftop. The view over the sea is absolutely stunning and magical, especially at sunrise and sunset. + L'accueil et la gentillesse de l'équipe gérant cet établissement : c'est un riad familial décoré de façon atypique, mêlant le local et l'artistique. On s'y sent bien, comme à la maison et en sécurité (j'y étais seule). Très bon petit déjeuner complet, préparé avec amour...... (on le sent), servi sur le rooftop quand le temps le permet. On y dort bien, le lit est confortable. La situation géographique est idéale dans la médina, à 50 m des remparts. Tout est accessible à pied (hammans, restos....). S'y promener, même le soir, ne pose pas de problème de sécurité. Un grand merci à Saadia, Abdul et leur famille.
