Tourist House Liberty

All I can say is I woke up at 4am with burning, itching bites. 16 in total bed bugs. Staff would not refund because they didn’t believe me, even though I have pictures. Not a great experience.

The room did not have a window, the bed was tiny and the ladies at the reception were not nice. When I reported that the bed was too small for 2, the lady said "leave if you do not like it". I do not recommend this hotel.

Location was the only thing going for this place for us. We were given a humid, dark box that had no real window or natural light. This is far from what is advertised and what we paid for. After expressing this to the lady at reception I received a shrug and was all but told it wasn’t her problem. Staff were rude full stop.

He charged us 20 euros more for each night, telling us that the payment was only in cash, something that was never clarified on the website. Also a nauseating smell came out of the bathroom and the TV didn't work. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and the attention deserves to be forgotten. We left with the feeling of having been cheated.

I had to arrainge the other place to stay, because late check in was not possible there. We were arriving to Firenze around 9pm, but they could not come to getting is in!

The stairwell had strong odor, the room differed from the photos: instead of a bright space with a window, it was dark, faced a shaft, and lacked fresh air, which was problematic given the musty smell. While basic cleanliness was acceptable, the furnishings were very worn & amenities limited. shared bathroom with mold in shower, shared towel&bath mat for all guests was unhygienic. Positively, atmosphere among guests was discreet, the heating worked well, and central location was ideal.

The room was too hot, with only a fan giving me a headache, not any conditioning air. To avoid headache andvthe fan noise, I had to open a window giving on a.... conditioning air machine outside for another building making a lot of noise. At the morning, the bells of the nearest church were ringing every 15 minutes. I couldn't sleep at all. The shared bathroom was not clean : the same wet towels every day and dirty parts in the bathroom.

The hostel did not have working AC and was more of an airbnb with shared bathroom. Very dark and zero amenities. The woman at the front was very nice though.

They need to update the amenities, and stop using intense scents, yikes, abusing the guests with breathing issues! Hostel is well-located but the building is connected to another ho(s)tel building with a garden, hence quite loud! I was very exhausted from travelling yet I could not take to stay until next morning 10.00 am check-out time. ASAP in the morning went to a cafe, luckily I only booked 1 night, so I went to another hostel which was so much better! Hope they know what GDPR is...

The single room was like a storage room. It had no fan, ceiling had huge cracks and everything looked very old and shabby. Reception is open only for 3 hours and there is no one available to ask any questions etc otherwise. The staff at reception did not understand english and was not very helpful - just said talk to the boss at reception the next day. They also kept asking to pay the balance in cash, website says they accept cards. They did not clarify this inspite of asking for 3 days.

excellent value for money. Booked this place last minute due to change in my travel plans. This was a pleasant surprise & did not disappoint. Excellent location!

I love this place, I’ve stayed 3 times one being for 3 weeks straight. The staff are soooo nice and it’s clean, it’s in a good area too not far walking distance from all the sights to see but in a quiet area nonetheless. Definitely would recommend since I’ve been back so many times!

Buen hotel para estar unos días y conocer Florencia. -El personal simpatico, aunque no es 24hs la recepción -La zona esta bien, es de fácil conexión al centro de Florencia -La habitación es chiquita, podría agregar unos percheros para las camperas y la toalla, pero cumple su función de lugar de descanso después de tanto recorrer -1er piso x escalera En conclusión, fue una estadía acorde al presupuesto y cumplió con las expectativas

It was only a single bathroom for like 7-9 rooms to share. I waited 40 minutes to use the restroom and brush my teeth, and eventually had to leave without getting to. Also, it was cash only to pay the rest of the bill and that was not discussed at all. I had to use an ATM just outside and pay high fees because I was not told in advance.

Please treat this compact yet classic stylish elegant house with the Love & Respect it deserves. It provided all I hoped for plus lots of heart and personality too. If you like flashy hotels it's not probably for you. But if you have have an aesthetic eye, good manners and a yearning for authenticity...then perhaps this is for you. I absolutely loved it. Everything was very clean and functional. The apartment is beautiful but my room was a bit sketchy and with a window that opened onto an inner courtyard (covered) therefore no light was coming in the morning. The owners were very welcoming and allowed me to keep my baggage for longer before leaving.

Super recomendo. Foi minha primeira vez em Florença e a proprietária é uma brasileira muito gentil e simpática. Ela e o marido são os proprietários do local. Não há barulhos ou confusão. Peguei um quarto individual com banheiro compartilhado, mas limpísssimo, pois não são dezenas de pessoas usando. Pretendo muito retornar à Itália daqui a dois anos e ficarei novamente nesse local.

The ladies that worked reception are so sweet. They were very nice and provided suggestions where to eat and ensured we had a comfortable time during our stay there.

Great location, lovely staff, clean. Generally quiet (though there was some noise from neighboring buildings). I just don’t think one bathroom is enough for how many rooms use it. I wish the shower and toilet were separated, or there was another toilet somewhere. I had to wait over an hour multiple times to use it. The window in my room lead out to an alley/storage area, not outside, and it had a really terrible methane/rotting smell, so I couldn’t actually open it when it was warm.

My friends and I enjoyed the stay and nice staff. The furnishings in the rooms could be updated. I thought the shared bathroom meant with just one other room but there were multiple rooms using it. There is no soundproofing. My single room was very small, narrow and window view was an inner wall only of a courtyard. We found it odd that payment for the rooms was required in cash euros. My friends and I really liked the hot pot, teas and coffee, shared refrigerator in a small sitting room.

This is a simple guest house, with a very nicely furnished a decorated hallway, though my room was sparse. The bed was fairly soft and the pillow was OK. All rooms seemed to share one bathroom/toilet, so there were was a queue. Complimentary tea and (instant) coffee was provided, with a kettle that needed to be filled in the shared bathroom. The member of staff was friendly, though there were language issues. For some reason, I couldn’t pay the tourist tax by card, though could in other places...

Nice spot for a good deal. Secure and clean.

Fantastic! Everything I expected. Friendly staff. Very seure. Tasteful building. Comfy bed. Definitely recommend!
