The Nomad House

This was the worst hostel we stayed in during 3 months of travelling. We were placed in a separate, run-down building with bad smells, no working WiFi, dirty bathrooms, and an unsafe, unlocked room. The beds were unstable with no privacy or storage. Water was cut off, and other guests were leaving early. Staff refused a refund despite misleading photos. We left and booked elsewhere. Avoid this place.

Worst hostel of my life, I booked The Nomad House but they sent me across the street. The dorm was dirty, the bunk bed were broken, curtains are pathetic (it’s even better to have nothing at this point). We can talk about the bathroom as well: no water. When we asked for a refund they just said no, but at this time I’m convinced I’ve been scammed by this place. Oh and it was expensive as f, especially considering the poor quality of this place.

Our room was in an old office across the street and looked nothing like the photos. The place was so sad - lights out, blood on the floor, depressing atmosphere. Beds were cold with tiny blankets, AC beside the bunk was dirty, and I cut my arm on jagged metal from the bed. Social scene was nothing like the photos or as described. I wish it was better

It’s a shame but we didn’t have a great experience at The Nomad House. Our dorm room was not part of nomad house and instead was a 2 minute walk. The dorm room was not great, the aircon wasn’t working properly and the room was a bit small and cramped. No curtains on the bunks either which wasn’t ideal. We saw one of the other dorms in the same building and it was much better. I think maybe it was the time of the year (new year) and the hostel was fully booked. It was not worth the money ...

This hostel was disgusting. It doesn’t match its description and looks nothing like the pictures. We were put across the road in a place with a door that was left open for anyone to walk in, it had no water or wifi and when we asked they said that wifi never works there. After being denied a partial refund, since it didn’t have the amenities we paid for we were moved to main building. My pillow was mouldy, and my friends was a towel shoved in a pillow case. So foul, never going back.

The beds were very old, shaky and hard to climb in. The blankets were really awfull, a fleeceblanket that was smaller than my body, so i was freezing some nights. The spaces were very small and there were no lockers for your backpack, only small ones. Showers were dirty, tiny and not well installed. The common room was okay, nice activities and a lot of volunteers. You could only pay with cash, what really sucked. The location was not very nice. You'll need a scooter

Absolutely disgusting place. Tiny, dirty cold showers. Toilet in room has no sink. Overpriced. Rooms are so dirty, sand and dirt on the floor. Sheer bedsheets as curtains. Beds are rock hard. Ladder is difficult to get up and down. Manager spends money on a charcuterie board instead of more housekeeping, makes no sense. No locks on the doors so my belongings were free to take (i felt very unsafe). Worst hostel i have ever stayed in (from someone well travelled).

So , the place is a wreck . Not close to the pictures. Fewer washrooms compared to what is actually needed. Doesnt have one good luggage storage space. The beds are quite uncomfortable. The common area is still nice though.

Comfortably the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. An impressively consistent exercise in disappointment. Rooms ensure you never oversleep, with outstanding heat retention and creative airflow. Cleanliness feels optional, showers occasionally functional. Security relies on trust, with unrestricted access and no luggage storage. Staff remain unfailingly positive, which I can only assume is Stockholm syndrome. Busy street with plenty of taxis, ideal because you will want to be anywhere but here.

This is definitely a party hostel. Parties go on until 2–3 a.m., and sometimes even until 4 a.m., making it almost impossible to sleep. There are also serious security issues — there is no safe place to lock your belongings, so everything is left out in the open. I stayed for 4 nights, and there was no hot water on any of those nights. On some days, there was no water at all. Unfortunately, because it was high season, it was difficult to find another place to stay, so I had to stay here. How...

Great time, amazing pub crawls! Reps were lit especially Josh he was great fun on the pub crawl! 10/10 stay, would recommend

Had an amazing time at nomads. Sarah was by far the best rep and made the boat trip so fun! They were great reps and were super fun to party as drink with. Good energy all the way. Very pretty gals too

Very good hostel but, no Housekepping in our room and in the bathroom…. So … and we paid a little more than normal period because of the Full Moon so…

Verry nice hostel, especially around the full moon party, its a bit far from the party but they have taxis. The people and the staff are really nice (shoutout to Ivan).

Great hostel and hospitality, the owner I think was his name was Shine he is really cool person, he was getting some shots for us and he made pizza as well for us, definitely recommend this place.

My stay here was really nice. Everything was clean and the beds were good and many nice and social people. The staff were really nice especially Ada and Lilly they were really helpful and attentive. I would recommend going here!

Unser Aufenthalt hier war super. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Zimmer sauber. Die Stimmung war auch sehr cool mit vielen chill areas. Das Personal besonders Ada und Lilly waren super nett und zuvorkommend.

Very nice hostel right in the middle of Thong Sala. I really enjoyed it there. The Location is great for shopping, cafés, bars or if you need to catch an early ferry. Perfect for diving into local life and also very good for trips to Had Rin parties. I loved the generous chill area with bar, ideal for meeting other backpackers if you're travelling alone. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly – you can tell they genuinely care. Recommend if you are looking for a social place to stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights. I’d love to give it more stars as the staff and reps were friendly and the hostel was social, but the rooms were revolting. The rooms have en suites, and when we arrived, our bathroom was so dirty. The room looked like it had been empty for weeks. The sink had blood in it, the toilet was covered in marks and the floor was yellow, just overall dirty. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned until our second night here.
