Hostel Warmoes

Crazy steep tiny stairs, less lockers than beds, reports of bed bugs (none in my room), mixed dorm was mostly older men, no curtains, bed clean but room a bit dirty. No kitchen or common area. Tiny toilet and shower with no fan for 10 people. Still, a great location and good price. Bare bones hostel.

Bedbugs. Terrible management, disgusting environment full of older men. Would rather have slept in the canal than here

The rooms were not so well equipped like we thought when booking the trip. Before arriving at our destination we were told in an email that all the bedding and linen plus towels were provided for the entire group, but upon arrival there were no towels for anyone and no linen cover for the blankets. Also the blankets we got were thin and looked dirty. Only the pillow and the mattress had a linen cover. Otherwise this wouldn't have been an issue, but we could have brought the towels and linen ourselves if we would have known about the situation. Also we were only given two towels for a group of four to apologize for the hostel's mistake regarding the missinformation... Additionally we found a bed bug in one of our beds on the last night of our stay. We presented the bug at the front counter when leaving, but we didn't get any refund or reimbursement for our stay. Now when arriving back to our home country we have to treat all our clothes to prevent the bugs from spreading here also... :( The room was also really cold because the radiators were turned off, the room felt damp and it was quite noisy because the windows didn't seal off any sound. I can't say I recommend this hostel.

The rooms were crammed and it was hard to sleep through the noise others were making. Small things such as complimentary ear plugs as well as potentially small privacy curtains at beds would have greatly increased the experience. I also received a lot of bites every night I slept there. While they don't appear to be bed bug bites, I would get new bites every day. I also saw a small beetle bug in the bathroom and am wondering if the bites are related to that.
