MEININGER Bruxelles City Center

Das Peronal war nett, die Lage ganz okay (ca. 15min Fußweg ins Stadzentrum von Brüssel). Parken katastrophal. Die Sauberkeit war eine Katastrophe. In unserem Zimmer waren noch Reste von irgendetwas Kleibrigem auf der Außenseite des Waschbeckens. In den Betten fremde Haare. Unter den Matratzen Haare und alte Kaugummis. In der Dusche überall Schimmel. Auch für einen relativ günstigen Preis möchte ein Gast zumindest Sauberkeit haben und nicht am Ende die Unterkunft möglicherweise mit Bettwanzen verlassen. Die Toiletten im Eingangsbereich neben der Rezeption waren dreckig und heruntergekommen. Die Halterungen für WC Papier und Hygienetütchen waren abgerissen und lagen am Boden, die Bürsten standen im Halter in einer dunkelroten/ -braunen (?) Brühe. Diese ganze Unterkunft war die reinste Zumutung. Rundum ekelhaft!

I woke up after one nights stay in this hostel covered in bug bites that I didn’t previously have, I thought it may have been mosquito bites but then the night after the same thing happened again so it has to have been bed bugs.

Not much, this is a top tier hostel

We had to drag our suit cases across the canal since there is construction around the hotel.the near by parking looks dangerous we were advised to park further away . Room was spacious but extremely hot not well ventilated we asked for a fan it was broken but still functional .iron broken but fortunately still works . 2 elevator one is out of order. Room linen not clean i suspect bed bugs .but bathroom was decently clean . Wouldn't recommend .

There were BEDBUGS!! I woke up to so many bites all over me. I had 10 bites on my hand and 15 more on my back. It hurt so much. Location isnt that safe too. I was followed by a man and then while i was on the train back a girl was being harrased until before i could step in two girls helped her.

Bed bugs

I got bed bugs in room 429. I got to my new destination and woke up with welts and bites. So I went to urgent care and they diagnosed me with bed bugs. I had no bites before and after three nights, I have bed bug bites. It’s truly reprehensible and unhygienic for this to be happening.

J'ai séjourné deux nuits dans cet hôtel dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel. Le prix excessif pour une personne (124 euros la nuit sans le petit déjeuner) n'est clairement pas à la hauteur du service. Le ménage laisse à désirer (murs et plinthes encrassées de poussière, cheveux sur la literie, couette tachée...). Les couloirs sont recouverts d'un moquette excessivement sale, sur laquelle trainent les soirs les groupes scolaires en voyage : n'avez-vous pas peur des punaises de lits ? La literie est moyenne, le matelas de ma chambre très mou et l'on entend tous les bruits du couloir via le système d'aération qui est très mal isolé. Le personnel était correct mais peu communiquant. Ils m'ont clairement fait comprendre que j'étais stupide lorsque je suis revenue à l'accueil sans savoir que l'électricité de la chambre fonctionnait via la carte/clé. Tous ces désagréments auraient été acceptables si le prix avait été raisonnable, ce qui n'est pas le cas.

Beware there are bedbugs here! I was kind enough to not make a huge commotion at the front desk. I spoke with management — there was NO APOLOGY and NO COMPENSATION offered at all. Just told to switch rooms! So I’ll share this picture I took to warn future guests of staying here.

This hostel all in all is very hotel like with a shared bedroom and en-suite bathroom. my friend and i actually really like this hostel. HOWEVER, we got bed bugs from this hostel, proof of them and sent an email to the company and have yet to hear back after a week. very poor customer service and will not be returning back or recommending.

I'm 99.99% sure I had bedbugs in my dorm, but when I went to reception to ask for a new room I was told it was impossible. I asked what my options were and was told I could leave or stay in the same bed, but they would not pay for me to relocate. Other than this however, the hostel was fine. Pretty clean, nice staff, decent location.

War im Rahmen eines Ausflugs der Universität zu Besuch. Leider war mein extrem unbequemes Beistellbett bereits von einigen Tierchen bewohnt ( Warscheinlich Bettwanzen). Dementsprechend angenehm war auf der Schlaf. Nie wieder!

Mixed bag hostel. More hotel than hostel at times; little to no atmosphere beyond roommates. There's a bar, but it feels like its another entity from the hostel (and may be). Location was a bit far from train and bus stations as well as the city center, so average marks there. Staff seemed nice, but relatively uninterested in guests. Housekeeping came knocking at 9AM though check-out was 11. Everything was clean except I found a tiny bug in my bed...not sure if it was a bed bug though... :|

BED BUGS everywhere. Stayed here with a group of over 100 adults and had to cancel our trip after 3 days. Horrible!

We were on a school trip to Brüssel. All on the second floor ended up with bed bugs... nice present to bring home. Get it fixed.
