Nitro House Koh Tao

Je devais rejoindre des amis dans cet hostel, mais ils ont découvert en pleine nuit que la chambre était infestée de punaises de lit. Ils ont dû quitter la chambre en urgence et réserver un autre logement pour que je puisse les rejoindre. Le propriétaire, de très mauvaise foi, a non seulement refusé de reconnaître le problème, mais il nous a aussi de accusé d’avoir apporté les punaises dans nos bagages. Franchement, à fuir.

Nous avons séjourné au Nitro House Hostel et ce fut, sans exagération, l’un des pires hébergements que nous ayons connus. Dès notre arrivée, la chambre était extrêmement sale, exiguë, sans luminosité et mal entretenue. On s’est vite rendu compte que l’endroit n’était pas seulement inconfortable, mais aussi dangereux pour la santé. Le cauchemar a réellement commencé lorsque nous avons découvert que la chambre était infestée de punaises de lit. Nous avons aussitôt inspecté le lit : matelas taché, traces évidentes de parasites, c’était une horreur. Nous avons immédiatement informé le propriétaire, pensant qu’il prendrait la situation au sérieux. Mais au lieu de s’excuser ou de proposer une solution, il a refusé de reconnaître le problème et, pire encore, nous a accusés d’avoir apporté les punaises nous-mêmes. La discussion a rapidement tourné à la confrontation : il s’est montré menaçant, agressif et complètement dans le déni. C’est une attitude inacceptable, surtout face à un problème aussi grave. Ajoutons à cela que la salle de bain était dans un état déplorable : la douche n’avait presque aucun débit et l’endroit était clairement mal nettoyé depuis longtemps. Nous avons quitté les lieux après ces premières heures catastrophiques. MAJ : suite à la réponse du propriétaire à mon commentaire, nous n’avons demandé aucun argent en échange de cet avis négatif qui ne reflète que la vérité. Nous sommes restez qu’une nuit sur 4, infesté de punaises de lit. Nous sommes partit le lendemain de la première nuit et le gérant n’a pas voulu nous rembourser les 3 autres nuits. Il nous a menacé de nous dénoncer à la police et sa seule décence a été de dire que c’est peut être nous qui avons ramené les punaises de lit. De plus, il n’y a avait pas de débit d’eau dans la douche. À FUIR

Avoid this place at all costs! I have never had such a horrible experience at a hotel. After a few days in my room, I started getting dozens of bites. At first, I thought they were mosquito bites, but then I discovered the nightmare: a full-on bed bug infestation! I found adult bed bugs, baby ones, and even dead ones embedded in the mattress. The worst part? The manager refuses to take responsibility. Not only is he refusing to refund me, but he even had the audacity to claim that I brought the bed bugs myself! Completely unacceptable and ridiculous, considering an infestation this severe doesn’t happen overnight. If you care about your health and hygiene, stay far away from this place. I have videos and photos as proof, and I will be reporting this to the authorities. Also, the showers were always clogged, it was dirty. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!

Duschen var som en dåligt rinnande kran, massa mögel överallt, luktade avlopp i badrum som spred sig in i rummet. Kackerlackor i rummet, hårda sängar och bedbugs överallt. Vi skulle checka in 9.30, sedan sa personalen 12.00 men vi fick inte checka in förens 14.00. Efter att vi upptäckt vägglössen efter natten så tog vi ut alla saker till lobbyn 05 på morgonen. Personalen var där 8.00 men ville inte prata om vägglössen förens 8.30 när receptionen öppnade, ohjälpsamt! Efter vårat klagomål fick vi som svar att få tillbaka 200tbh, trots att vi spenderat en hel dag att sanera våra väskor och alla våra kläder/saker.

There were so so many bedbugs, we had to change hostels in the middle of the night

Lovely staff, but sadly had to leave before staying due to finding the sheds / skins of bed bugs on the mattress. Was told “they’re dead, no bite”, but didn’t wanna take the risk…

No le gustó nada

Cockroaches, mosquitoes, bedbugs, smell and black fungus from the airco.

My bed had bedbugs, there was no shower curtain so the bathroom was always wet whenever someone showered, the guy working there was for the most part very unhelpful and dismissive, and sometimes even rude, like he didn't want to be there, no social at all.

The bed was very uncomfortable and we heard about bed bugs being in another room. We had a three person room, luckily without bed bugs.

Wir hatten aufgrund des günstigen Preises keine hohen Erwartungen, wurden jedoch trotz alldem komplett enttäuscht. Beim Betreten des Zimmers kam uns ein extremer Schimmelgeruch ins Gesicht geflogen. Das Badezimmer war nicht hygienisch und dreckig und es war eine extrem hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer. Zusätzlich waren nur Fleecedecken auf den Betten. Nachdem wir nochmal die vorherigen Rezensionen durchgeschaut hatten und die Rede von Bettwanzen war, hat es uns gereicht. Wir entschieden uns direkt das Hostel zu verlassen und uns eine neue Unterkunft zu buchen. Nicht nochmal!

Betten voller Bettwanzen, Schimmel an der Decke, Bad voller Dreck, aber die Besitzer juckt das nicht.

Bed bugs, multiple beds. Owner didn’t seem too worried about it

BED BUGS - I’ve never stayed anywhere with bed bugs before, here the place was riddled and they are aware of them and there is nothing being done about them, they put an electric heater on during the day but this does nothing. HORRIBLE OWNER - The owner was so rude and nasty to his employee, shouting at him in such a patronising manner infront of guests. UNCLEAN - everywhere is dirty, common room bathroom and beds.

Dortoir avec une odeur forte de moisissures, des douches sans hygiène et mon matelas rempli de punaises de lit… Le gérant est au courant du problème mais laisse des gens dormir dans une chambre remplie de punaises de lit. Une très mauvaise expérience… Point positif: Le réceptionniste est d’une grande gentillesse.

Toilets very very simple but the smell in the hostel was very unpleasant. After discovering bed bugs in my bed I got another room unfortunately there were there as well. I hope they do something about it.

Une catastrophe, les dortoirs sont tout petits et sentent l’humidité, cela vous prend au nez, de plus il est infesté de punaises de lit. Le personnel a justifié cela par une absence de femme de ménage, je n’ai pas été remboursée de mes trois nuits. A FUIR

Min at the front desk was very sweet and helpful but they have a bed bug infestation in the large dorm. I recommend avoiding this hostel until reviews suggest they resolved the issue.

Firstly Nitro House is falsely advertised. It is not what the photos and descriptions represent. My friends and I stayed in a 8 bed dorm for three nights, 29th June to 1 July 2023. As soon as we arrived, they put us in a considerable small sized room, no windows, boxed together. The aircon was automatic meaning it didnt come on during the day. That lead to the room having no ventilation. Along with mold all on the ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom (pictures can be sent upon request). Overall it was constantly dirty. Throughout our stay not one cleaner came in our room! Worst of all, our room turned out to be infested with bed bugs (come to the conclusion of the state of the property it makes sense). With proof of a video of my bed having bed bugs, this ruined the whole experience of the beautiful island of Koh Tao. Immediately after notcing bed bugs, I went to the reception in which the staff didn’t seem to have any empathy and show any concern. Making me think they didn’t belive what I was saying even though I showed the video clearing out lining the bed bugs. Which has come to my well-being, this will continue. Days later all my friends and I have bed bug bites head to toe! this has ruined more of travels by having to visit clinics, pharmacy, cleaning all our clothes bags etc and even having to purchase medications to treat the bites. This is unacceptable and the fact the staff only said sorry isn’t good enough. I therefore would like to speak to someone higher up to deal with this issue further. Whether any compensation can be given due to this awful and unforgettable experience we had to deal with. Look forward to hearing back. Many thanks Claudia Navarro

Great staff at front desk, the guy was doing everything in his power to try to help. The photos do not accurately represent it. First night I had cockroaches in the bed, last night I had bedbugs. Spend $1.50 more and get a clean place.
