   AVOID EATING HERE. I never leave bad reviews but I’m forced to on this occasion. Refused to refund my meal after a THREE potentially life threatening ‘mistakes’. Staff pretended to take allergies seriously but did not care in the slightest. Refund refused and pathetic apology offered over WhatsApp. Also the wristband for visitors is a SCAM they refuse to refund the deposit for menial reasons like if you return it the next day. Full story below: I made two/three staff members aware of my allergies to eggs, peanuts and sesame in Spanish and English and they assured me they would inform the kitchen with the order. One of the plates came out in a sea of sesame so I just handed it back straight away. They gave it back to me again but there was still some sesame visible so I think they just tried to swipe it off? Not acceptable. They then gave me a new one but I didn’t really trust it at this point so I asked again if for sure the tempura prawns didn’t have eggs in them because I know they can sometimes. Man at till said definitely no. I asked again to check and he asked the kitchen and I heard them list out panko, huevo. No apology from him to me just to the guy I was with that paid? We asked for a refund and only got it on the wristbands but they refused to give a physical refund. This is the worst service I’ve ever had with regards to my allergies and I’m just really glad the allergen was visible and I didn’t trust the staff because otherwise I could have died. The staff at costeño need training on how to take allergies seriously. It’s not good enough to make mistakes like this and to make three mistakes in one order is absolutely ridiculous and clear negligence
