Severe bed bugs infection

Bed bugs in both rooms Mice and Mouse droppings Very very bad condition Almost no water out of the shower No warm water Really everything is so dated Just weeks ago, this has been a party hostel, as I found out later Food is so so - extremely overpriced As we needed to flee from the bed bugs, not even refund for open 3 nights were accepted by management. Whilst waiting for our room on arrival we appraised the hotel/Hostal and quickly decided that it was not appropriate for us for a 4 night stay. As we had scuba diving booked for the next day we decided to stay booked for 2 nights. Limited menu had elements unavailable and the pool area is in need of an uplift. Once we got our room we realised that this had been a Hostal until very recently and the bed was old, the bathroom needed a complete facelift and an extremely noisy ac unit. That evening a few choices on the menu not available again. Staff worked hard to please. After reasonable breakfast we were out for the day. On returning to the Hostal/hotel we felt uncomfortable having seen other properties on the island. On speaking to two other guests who were leaving we heard and saw their bed bug bites. We booked somewhere else and left immediately. The following morning I discovered numerous obvious bed bug bites although my wife was unaffected. The hotel having taken over the ownership needs to close for a period and sort out water issues/room cleaning and smarten up the pool area before charging the rates they are at the moment. Very sorry to write this as our first bad experience in 3 months of travelling.
