The Local NYC

Bed bugs - I don't know if the bugs were in the common area or on my bed. On the plane back home, it started scratching. When I arrived home, I had thousands of bites in my back, my shoulders, my neck, my hands and my right cheek. My medical bill was twice the price of a night in the hostel. I regret booking this hostel.

Lo primero destacar la amabilidad y atención del personal. Me gustaría comentar que el lo que hace el ambiente raro a veces es el bar de la entrada donde al pasar para ir a la habitación recibí más de un comentario inapropiado por parte de hombres que estaban allí sentados. La limpieza de la habitación deja que desear, ya que cada día me respetaba con picaduras nuevas por todas las piernas probablemente de pulgas/chinches. El baño, cocina y zonas comunes estaban bien.

Unfortunately, I woke up with bed bug bites on my left forearm! For a hostel this large and busy, it's going to be near-impossible to get rid of the bed bugs. The rooms have an en suite shower, but the bathrooms are down the hall, and I would've preferred the opposite set-up.

Nice hostel except I got bed bugs.. I had 2 separate people fall asleep in my bunk and I ended up having to move beds. Not necessarily the fault of the hostel. location is good, staff was friendly, rooftop view is a really great addition but the bed bugs are definitely a bummer…
