Rooms are great, common area very nice. Location is great as well. Bed bugs - I don't know if the bugs were in the common area or on my bed. On the plane back home, it started scratching. When I arrived home, I had thousands of bites in my back, my shoulders, my neck, my hands and my right cheek. My medical bill was twice the price of a night in the hostel. I regret booking this hostel.

Lo primero destacar la amabilidad y atención del personal. Me gustaría comentar que el lo que hace el ambiente raro a veces es el bar de la entrada donde al pasar para ir a la habitación recibí más de un comentario inapropiado por parte de hombres que estaban allí sentados. La limpieza de la habitación deja que desear, ya que cada día me respetaba con picaduras nuevas por todas las piernas probablemente de pulgas/chinches. El baño, cocina y zonas comunes estaban bien.

Great location near downtown Long Island City, Queens, with the E, M, 7, and G trains. The hostel is open 24 hours with friendly and efficient staff. The hostel has a nice ground floor cafe/bar, a rooftop bar with live music on the weekends, and a social area. Across the street is a pedestrian restaurant/bar complex. Unfortunately, I woke up with bed bug bites on my left forearm! For a hostel this large and busy, it's going to be near-impossible to get rid of the bed bugs. The rooms have an en suite shower, but the bathrooms are down the hall, and I would've preferred the opposite set-up.

Nice hostel except I got bed bugs.. I had 2 separate people fall asleep in my bunk and I ended up having to move beds. Not necessarily the fault of the hostel. location is good, staff was friendly, rooftop view is a really great addition but the bed bugs are definitely a bummer…

The Local NYC sta vicino alla metro e ha un rooftop con viste sullo skyline. C'è un bar in loco, un'area comune che funziona per hangout o laptop time, e attività serali che possono dare un po' di movimento al posto. Le camere possono sembrare compatte, e lo storage intorno ai letti è limitato in alcuni layout. Bagni condivisi, docce, lavanderia e deposito bagagli fanno parte del setup, insieme ad aiuto base alla reception e un flusso di check-in facile. Il posto può essere rumoroso quando le unità AC o riscaldamento girano forte, e l'acqua calda non è stata stabile. Anche la pulizia varia tra camere e spazi condivisi, quindi il soggiorno può sembrare irregolare.
