Awful, double booked me so didnt have a room, and only told me on the day...

The hostel lies by saying it is 6 beds room with A/C but it is actually 8 and they turn off the A/C at night or make it higher than 27c to the point i had to sleep outside for 2 hours. and when complained thr managment didnt do anything. I really loved the Vibes and the Volunners (Stella, Lisa & Nicola) and wished i could have stayed longer.

A very mediocre guesthouse. The owner wasn’t really around. But close the main area of Langkawi

Good location right next to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Also coffee and free water is available. They have a hair dryer and towels. Unfortunately, our room was very dirty and in worse condition than we expected from det picture. The window didn’t have any curtains so the light would come in every morning. Thee sheets, pillows and towels were smelly. No proper duvet, only think polyester blanket… overall, I would not recommend because of the dirtiness, light and lack of proper blan...

Overall, I would recommend the hostel. What we liked was the location, the laid back vibe, the free water refill and an exceptionally friendly staff. What we didn’t like was the windowless room, and that there was no kitchen, although the place had a fridge. Our room was very basic and not very inviting, but for just sleeping in there, it was fine. The social areas were small but cozy

The location is perfect but it was really quite at the hostel and also some weird stuff happened. I was in a room where there was some sort of secret room behind some curtains, so someone was following our whole conversation with out us knowing. And also I got overcharged for two days.

Great small family hostel. Extra 10 ringgit charge per night so then makes it not the cheapest.

Decent hostel in a decent location. However, no social atmosphere at all unless you're an older Spanish traveller. Staff were never really around so we ended up renting a motorbike elsewhere. Very misleading by calling it a 6 bed, it's an 8 bed but 2 beds are usually used for staff. Only one bathroom for 8 people but toilet just outside the room. The squeakiest beds I've stayed on and the ladder was slight broken and did cut my knee. No lockers and not much space for belongings either.

I loved this hostel. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was talking to each other and hanging out. Real relaxed feel so felt comfortable if I wanted to do things or just have chill time etc. Loved the volunteers also hanging with the guests, you were all really cool to be around!

Overall it was a really nice hostel, very clean and comfy beds within spacious rooms. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend! :)

Really sweet little hostel, right by the beach and nearby to shops/restaurants. The people that run it are super friendly and give lots of good recommendations

Wat een geweldige plek was dit toch. Zulke aardige mensen die hier werken. De eigenaar gonzalo is een geweldige gast! De sfeer is super sociaal maar wel chill! Echte island vibe. Kamers zijn schoon met badkamer in de kamers.

A lovely place with a great atmosphere. The owner and volunteers were very helpful and friendly. There are not many beds per dorm which I liked. And the sizeable outdoor seating area (with a hammock) is a great place to meet people. The location on the Pantai Cenang strip is very central. The facilities like the toilet and shower are good but not mind-blowing. If you are looking for incredibly modern and pristine facilities then this doesn't have those. All in all just a nice hostel.

Staff is considerate and we got well taken care of. Property is chill and close to the beach. Nothing bad to say.

I really enjoyed my stay here, its a smaller hostel but met a great group of people. The staff where friendly and super helpful with suggestions on how to spend my time there and helped organise my ferry to my next destination.

Excellent séjour, Gonzalo est très acceuillant ainsi que son équipe qui est toujours disponible et de bons conseils pour profiter des bonnes adresses locales. L’atmosphère est très agréable l’hostel est joliement décoré, très propre, propice à sociabiliser tout en étant calme. Un petit bout verdure à l’ombre pour faire son yoga au chant des oiseaux. Très bien situé avec des scooters à disposition pour visiter l’île. J’aurais pu y rester des semaines on s’y sent vraime...

Chilled hostel with alternative vibes. No organised activities but met really cool people to hang out with. Rooms were very clean and really characterful common space. Close to the beach. Volunteers stuck to themselves a lot compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in and seemed to prefer other Spanish-speaking guests, so their friendliness is the one thing which could be improved otherwise I loved the hostel.

Lovely hostel with a nice social area and good location. Unfortunately, the dorm rooms are way too hot at night. The A/C can be adjusted, but even after we complained the staff wouldn’t change it from 25 degrees and kept switching it off or turning it up and hiding the remote. As a result, I barely slept which was a shame as everything else was great. Constructively, it should be the paying guests decision as I am aware at least 4 people in our 6 bed dorm could not sleep!

I had a good stay at Home Sol, it fit my needs! It's at the north end of the main tourist strip so a short walk away from the main hub. The place was really clean and beds are comfy, but mosquitos got in my bunk regularly. The showers/toilets share a single room so if someone showered, your feet will get wet using the bathroom - best to have sandals handy. The staff were all very kind and helpful, but it didn't feel like they were overly interested in conversing with guests - this can be good if...

Stayed in dorm a few nights and can say it's a good option for solo travelers. Have bed curtain, outlet, light,towel in room bathroom plus a spare bathroom outside for 8 people. Aircon room with warm shower and free instant coffee and water. Small sitting areas to meet others. Easy walk to beach and the town's restaurants. Can arrange tours.

Great location, not far from the beach. Really friendly, chill vibe. Improvements could be made to the showers and towels were very thin/holey. Curtain rod kept falling down and the main window curtain couldn't close fully because of the curtain rod. Decent stay for location and price.

Kind people lovely place, would definitely visit again
