BEDBUG INFESTATION ON ROOM 5 - The owner clearly knows about it but unfortunately she does not know how to get rid of it. First day I woke up with a lot of bites and when I came to booking to check the reviews I saw a lot of people relating the same problem. Second night was even worse after I changed bed. I killed 7 of them in my bed at around 3am because I could not sleep. After I went to another bed I could sleep. The shower is only super cold or super hot. No middle term.

I found a bed bug in my bed, and I told the owner, and she did not believe me. When I said i would like to leave the hostel and asked for a reimbursement, she accused me of lying to get my money back and was very rude. I did not end up staying the night or getting my reimbursement.

The dorm room has a bedbug infestation. The on-site manager refuses to acknowledge the problem, even after being shown the live bugs, and gets mad at guests who report this problem. Not acceptable. In addition there is no common area to visit with other guests, and there is no option to leave a backpack with reception before or after the check-in/check-out times. Puerto Montt is not safe to walk after dark, so it is much better to stay in Puerto Varas just 20-min/ $1200 pesos bus ride away.
