Bed bug reports

Confirmed Hostelworld
Nice spot and the free dinner was great! On my last day I woke up with about 20 bed bug bites all over my arms and when I told the hostel worker, they were apologetic but seemed to be more concerned for themselves than the fact I had bites everywhere. They didn’t provide any solution or compensation to me, I’ve been at hostels before that at least offer to wash your clothes for you. They were, at least, cleaning the bed I was in for the next person.

Vibe Analysis
Onefam Miru is built around shared dinners and a busy social schedule, with pub crawls, drinking games, and other group outings. The atmosphere is lively rather than quiet, and the team seems friendly, helpful, and energetic. The location is practical, with metro and tram access close by and the center reachable on foot. Many rooms and common areas are kept clean, and there is a kitchen and a hangout area for downtime between outings.
Signals to check
- Noise can carry late into the night, so light sleepers may have a rough time.
- Bathrooms can feel cramped, and there may be too few for the bed count.
- A cash deposit is required for the room key, and payment may need to be made in cash.
- An age limit applies, so check it before booking.
- Bed curtains are not in every dorm, and bedside charging points are not consistent.
