This was by far the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in and I have travelled the world. It’s filthy, bed bugs crawling everywhere so clearly, smells horrid. Honestly by far the worst experience I have ever had. The staff aren’t friendly either. Do not stay here it is disgusting and disrespectful staff didn’t help at all.

Vibe Analysis
Valentine Hostel is a very thin Pondicherry option: basically a location play near the train station, with one kind welcome and a resident cat as the small bright spots. That is about where the upside stops. Treat it as a last-resort crash pad, not a social hostel. The rough edge list is long: poor ventilation, a small windowless-feeling dorm, one toilet/shower serving many beds, bathroom ceiling repair needs, a dirty kitchen, difficult arrival signage, street dogs at night, and one rude staff interaction. If comfort, airflow, cleanliness, or meeting people matters, this looks risky.
