Vibe Analysis
Bohol Hammock Hostel sits inland on Bohol, close to the Chocolate Hills and other day-trip spots. The setting is green and open-air, with hammock-style beds and lots of places to sit, rest, or hang out. Breakfast and dinner are a big part of the stay. The kitchen leans vegetarian and vegan, with simple included breakfast and buffet-style evening meals. There are also cooking classes, sunrise hikes, countryside tuktuk tours, scooter rental, and help with transport. The hostel has a warm, social feel without being a party place. Cats, dogs, and chickens are part of the property, and rescued animals are cared for on site.
Signals to check
- The hostel is away from the main tourist strip, so getting around can take time without a scooter or transport help.
- Rooms are open to the air, so heat, insects, animal noise, and limited privacy can be part of the stay.
- Some rooms and shared areas are basic rather than polished, and hot water may not be available.
