It's not dreamsea but "nightmaresea". As much as the place is perfect for meeting people from all over the world with whom you can travel afterwards, it is not the place that we describe on social networks. Where to start: unsanitary dormitories, without walls or ceilings, where a musty smell will never leave your clothes, your bed or even your skin. The floor is full of dirt, the beds are damp: at night I slept with two towels on my sheets so as not to feel the humidity and even that was not enough. The yoga mats that we lend you are never cleaned: as a result, I and many other people have caught impetigo (a very contagious skin bacteria). Scorpion in the bed sheets, dogs peeing on the backpacks on the floor in the rooms: everything is unacceptable. But that's not all: bedbugs were present, which did not seem to concern the owner. In short, if you're looking for a disgusting place, super isolated from the city, this is the perfect place.

Dreamsea Surf Camp Costa Rica is a jungle camp outside Tamarindo with a very young, very social setup. It leans more party camp than quiet surf retreat, with organized events, communal meals, morning yoga, and a volunteer-heavy crowd that tends to stay long enough for the place to feel like its own little scene. The strongest fit is for 18-to-early-20s solo travellers who want an easy social bubble and do not mind rough edges. The camp has a pool and hot tub, spacious outdoor common areas, and a shuttle into town on a fixed schedule. The jungle setting can feel beautiful and away from the noise, but it also makes the location a real part of the stay. This is not a polished resort-style surf camp. Facilities can be bare-bones, rooms and showers may feel basic, and surf lessons, excursions, and dinners may cost extra. The social energy is the main draw here; comfort, privacy, and smooth organization are more mixed.
