Parking charges. 10$ per day, think thats the first place in the suburbs anywhere I had to pay parking ever. Well the door code I understand, but sometimes can be a bit weird. Wondering if they change them everytime someone leaves. Anybody on site for me wasnt a big deal. But can understand the hussle if something happens and there is a need for someone to intervene right at the spot.

Vibe Analysis
Papago Motor Hotel is a retro-style Scottsdale motor hotel built around a courtyard pool, grassy outdoor space, and a mid-mod look that gives it more personality than a plain roadside room. The pool is the main draw: it can feel especially good at night, with string lights, clear water, poolside towels, and a relaxed courtyard setup. Rooms are often clean and comfortable, with soft beds, modern bathrooms, strong showers in some rooms, fridges, and occasional nice touches like bidets, fog-free LED mirrors, smart TVs, microwaves, and espresso or coffee setups. Some rooms are large; others can feel small, poorly lit, or tucked into less appealing back-corner spaces. The location works well for Scottsdale plans, with Old Town a short rideshare away and a coffee shop within walking distance. There may be cornhole, a firepit, and an attached restaurant, though breakfast and restaurant availability have been inconsistent. Service and access are the big split here. Recent stays can feel friendly and easy, with helpful front-desk care, while older and rougher experiences describe difficult self check-in, door-code problems, limited on-site help, surprise deposits, and slow issue handling. Parking is a recurring pain point: fees may be added, spaces may be unsecured or limited, and the setup can feel unclear before arrival.
Signals to check

- Check-in and staff support have been inconsistent, especially around self check-in and access codes.
- Breakfast and restaurant availability may not match expectations.
- Noise, pool lights, gate noise, bugs, room maintenance, and room placement have all been problems in some cases.
