Overall great place with room for improvement. It is just bizarre that men and women share the same washroom. Also didn’t like the beds had bugs in them. The tiny bugs almost looked like bed bugs. This led to us leaving rather than booking an extra night.

Vibe Analysis
The Slow Leopard is built around a busy outdoor bar, restaurant, and hangout area in Masaki, a few minutes' walk from Slipway and close to restaurants, the waterfront, pharmacies, and easy bajaji rides. It works best as a social landing pad in Dar: friendly staff, cold drinks, budget meals, free drinking water, and a breakfast menu keep the place easy to use. Friday nights and sports nights can turn the hostel into more of a bar scene than a quiet crash pad. There are social events, local music, a big screen for games, and plenty of backpacker energy; that can make it easy to meet people, but it can also mean loud music until late, especially near the bar or on weekends. Dorm beds may have curtains, lights, shelves, and charging ports, and smaller dorms seem more comfortable than the big 10-bed room. Private rooms are basic, usually compact, and can have good AC. The cats are part of the scene, which is cute if you like them and a hygiene concern if you do not. The tradeoff is facilities. Bathrooms are small and dated, storage and hooks are limited, Wi-Fi may not reach bedrooms, and cleanliness can vary by room and season. For a cheap, social, slightly chaotic Dar base with a strong bar-and-garden core, it fits. For deep sleep, polished bathrooms, or a hotel-feeling private room, it may frustrate.
