Bed bug reports

Vibe Analysis
The lounge and games area is the personality here: a proper place to sit around after hiking, with a common room, mountain views in parts of the building, and enough shared space to make the hostel feel less like just a bed stop. Breakfast is a real strength, usually fresh, broad, and refilled well. Staff are often warm and helpful, and the setup works especially well for simple Allgau trips, hiking weekends, and travelers who want a practical base near the mountains rather than a polished hotel. Rooms are simple and can be very small, especially triples, family rooms, and bunk setups. The hostel has a kitchen for self-catering, plus outdoor seating, but the kitchen setup may feel limited when the place is busy. Dogs may be allowed, but the pet setup is restrictive: extra fees are possible, and dogs may be kept out of breakfast or bar areas. This is more functional mountain hostel than cozy full-service stay, with self-made beds and a few rough edges built into the deal.
Signals to check
- Rooms and bathrooms can be cramped, basic, and sometimes noisy through walls, halls, doors, or nearby rooms.
- Towels, soap, shampoo, and hair dryers may not be included; bed linen may need to be collected, fitted, and stripped by hand.
- Parking can be tight, especially later in the day.
- Cleanliness and maintenance are inconsistent, with recurring issues around bathrooms, bedding, drainage smells, and worn fixtures.
- Booked room type may not always match the assigned room, including double-bed bookings turning into bunk-bed rooms.
