Explain how it works
We compare every 5★ review's word count against the global distribution. Hostels where unusually many top-rated reviews are suspiciously short — way under the typical length — start to look like the staff (or a boost-my-listing service) is padding the score with throwaway praise.
The detector flags reviews that are both top-rated and below a length threshold, then estimates how many of them statistically shouldn't exist. For this hostel we scanned 3261 top-rated reviews and 0% were suspiciously short.
Length z-score: 5.40. A z-score measures how far this hostel's distribution of 5★ review lengths sits from the global average, in standard deviations. 0 = perfectly typical. 1–2 = slightly unusual but within normal noise. 3–5 = strongly anomalous. Anything 10+ means the pattern is so far from the global norm that it's effectively impossible to get there organically.
This is a heuristic, not a verdict — it surfaces hostels worth a second look, not proof of fraud. Read the actual reviews below and judge for yourself.

rating with the refund
I booked using booking, never realized it was a dormitory and the reversation was made for a female. No room was available for me. I canceled it with booking but they are saying you are not cooperating with the refund.

Pressure to leave a review
reviews before arriving. The service from the staff
Expectations were low, as I read recent reviews before arriving. The service from the staff was good, well-working WiFi, decent breakfast and a great common area. Had a Margherita pizza for dinner, and it was quite good. Only thing that was a bit of a let down was the air in the rooms, but it wasn't a major issue. The shuttle bus to the airport is 6 euros, and leaves every 30mins. All in all, well worth the money, and definitely the on-the-budget place to stay if you need to spend a night near Charles de Gaulle airport.

Review-authenticity complaint
reviews are fake
Not much positive things to say. Sorry. Quite a bad hotel (see the rest), and I suspect that many of the reviews are fake. 1. In all email communications (and on this website) it says there is a shuttle service starting at 5:30 a.m.. The service starts at 6 a.m., for me that meant taking a taxi in the morning (see later). 2. Room is far from being sound proof or isolated, and this is close to a highway and an airport. I could hear planes. I could hear cars. Too many of them at night, if you ask me. 3. Took more than 10 minutes to do a check-in (one couple in front of me throughout the entire time). 4. They booked a "taxi" for me (due to point 1). The taxi was 20 minutes late (to the airport(!)), overcharged (did not use meter, and to be honest, there was no meter), and did not supply a receipt. Far from being professional. 5. When I arrived the night before, I had to take a taxi, who could not find the address, as the property is not well listed on GPS systems, and then arriving there with a car requires a bit of local knowledge. Not entirely the property's fault, but it just aggravated the situation (and the fact they haven't picked up the phone to tell the driver how to get there is indeed their fault). Re point 3, the staff said they have just opened a few weeks ago (but there are 100's of reviews here, so I suspect they either lied to me, or the reviews are fake).

Vibe Analysis
Eklo Paris Roissy CDG Airport works best as a short airport stop: close to CDG, with a paid shuttle, parking, a restaurant, bar, and a modern lobby that can feel more inviting than the rooms. The shared areas have a bit of style, and the restaurant can be handy when the kitchen is open after a late arrival. The rooms are simple and often very compact, with dark walls, minimal storage, and limited space for luggage. Cleanliness and comfort seem uneven: clean showers, comfortable beds, and functional bathrooms appear alongside bad smells, missing towels, broken fittings, and rooms that feel too bare for the price. Heat is a real issue in warm weather. Air conditioning may be absent or unreliable, fans do not always solve it, and opening windows can bring corridor, restaurant, or aircraft noise. Breakfast can be decent with organic products or a simple express option, but it may also feel limited, poorly restocked, or disappointing for the cost. This is a practical transit base, not a social hostel to build a Paris trip around. It fits a one-night airport move better than a relaxed stay, especially for anyone who can handle a small dark room and wants the airport nearby above everything else.
Signals to check
- Rooms can be very small, dark, and short on storage.
- Air conditioning may be absent or unreliable, so summer nights can get hot.
- Aircraft, corridor, restaurant, and late-night noise can be a problem.
- Shuttle details and pricing can be confusing, and a taxi or bus may be cheaper for some trips.
- Breakfast and restaurant service can be inconsistent, especially when busy or late.
