DO NOT STAY HERE! We had 3 nights booked and not stayed for two nights. Woke up day 2 with bed bug bites all over. Rooms were absolutely disgusting, staff were not very helpful and would not pay to clean infested clothes. Changed rooms and still had bugs. We got the hell out of there!

Good location in a quieter area but close to center. I’ve been traveling for about a month in Europe and I feel like if I were to get bed bugs, it would be here. Lack of cleanliness inside the rooms and always toilet paper on the floors in the bathrooms. Also why is laundry so expensive and only 1 machine works for the whole building?

EVERYTHING!! To start with it’s a very basic room, a lowdown metal framed bed that makes noise every time you move, a shower that floods the bathroom whenever you turn it on and thin walls which you can hear noise through the whole night. On top of that the mattress is black which makes it hard to check for things like bedbugs and cleanliness. We stayed for one night and then to a new hotel.

Was going to leave a pretty positive review but I found and very clearly photographed a bed bug and they did not take me seriously at all. Very close to transit but not attractions. Close to a grocery store. No group kitchen which is annoying and the food is mid (normal for hostel food). Pay €6 for a towel rental Staff were nice no complaints in general but like I said I showed them a very clear foto of a BB and they said “no” So yeah anyway now I’m freaking out

Everything, not cleaned, having bed bugs, moscatos in the room, breakfast was worst

The room had not been cleaned when I checked in, there was a strong smell of sewage in the morning and to top it off, bed bugs. The second room was much better, the hostel overall was great and the location was excellent. Probably wouldn’t stay there again though

I stayed there for three nights and the room was hot and smelly and on my last morning i saw a bed bug walking in the bathroom. Also, on my last day I left my stuff in a locker where I used my own locker and when I came to get my stuff back, the locker was broken. Worst experience of my life!

The rooms are not cleaned everyday and there is no window that you can open. In a 4 bed-room they put extra bunk bed but that leaves no space at all which was very uncomfortable. I dont know how they clean the beds. I was afraid of bed bugs at some point.

My second stay in ClinkNoord and probably my last. When I arrived to my room two members of staff were investigating for bed bugs. Not so great start. It was really hot in my room and there were only two small fans and you couldnt open the windows. By the way bed bugs are almost impossible to see in day light because they are good at hiding. Got two mysterious bites to my leg. Not good. Cleanliness wasnt top notch, room was dirty, bathroom and shower were okay. 2/10

Don't visit, my bed had bed bugs. The hostel itself is pretty okay and what you would expect for the price in Amsterdam. The rooms are not that clean and the breakfast subpar but the entertainment area is nicely designed. Still, all positive aspects are invalidated by my bed having bed bugs which is completely unacceptable for any kind of hotel.

Really great location and amazing vibe. However, the room was dirty pretty dirty, particularly the sink and toilet) which both had vomit underneath and around the basins) and the mattresses (which had semen stains on 3 of the 4 beds). Considering you have to make the bed yourself it should the bare minimum for the cleaners to sanitise the mattresses properly as it’s simply disgusting and unsanitary. I also have had bed bug bites appear since the stay. Would rate a 2/5 hostel with a great location And bar, but the cleanliness really needs to improve considering the price.

Despite paying 70 euros for a shared room, the mattress was very saggy and they even got me bedbugs. The “compensation” for such experience was a free coffee I won’t come back to this place again.

The mattress is very bad quality and sagging. They have bed bugs and I couldn’t even sleep for an hour because it’s very itchy. Use your money somewhere else, don’t waste it here

Right behind the Centraal station, Clink is an excellent place to stay at in terms of value for money. For the same price, I had horrible experiences in other hotels in Amsterdam (such as bed bugs). Clink rooms are clean and the facilities are pretty neat as well. My only complaint for my last stay was that the washers and dryers appeared quite dirty -- but on the other hand they're relatively cheap and easy to use (practical contactless payment terminal). Lastly, the luggage room is no longer available to individual guests who must now rent expensive lockers instead ; large luggage won't inside them so the only option is to leave your luggage in the lobby or take it to the Centraal station luggage room.

Stayed in this hostel, in an 8 bed mixed dorm, it was half the price of a lot of hostels at the time I booked, which was on peak in mid August. Crossing the river was no fuss at all, the ferry's come super regularly, all hours of the day and night. Would recommend staying here, at a very clean modern hostel, rather than spending the same and staying somewhere dated and less clean. (I've stayed at a few that have got bed bugs) Facilities were great, free WiFi, huge shared kitchen on the lower ground floor and a bar with plenty of seating.
