Bedbugs! I was bitten badly. At check out I showed to the receptionist. She didn’t even say anything. I went to emergency room that afternoon.

I'm honestly surprised at how awesome this whole experience has been! 1st time using a hostel for me & I was a little apprehensive, considering the reviews on other affordable hostels with regard to cleanliness, bed bugs, security issues etc but this place is fantastic :D I had a dorm. Nice & simple mattress in a cubicle to self w/ wall plug, shelf & a mini light. Fairly comfortable overall. Locked room shared with about 6 beds (but it was quiet) & they provide in-room lockers. Some pros: * 4 (hot) showers & 2 toilets, kept clean. * Open, inviting & clean reception w/ friendly & helpful staff (Mark was great & letting me know everything I needed to know & quelled my security worries. Spoke English too which helped me). * 24/7 Reception & can check in anytime after 2pm * Very affordable & easy to book * Basement level large lockers w/ super simple & secure digital code lock * Very close to the Metro & to town in general * Large & well decorated common room w/ optional breakfast (£8), a kitchen to use, plenty of seats & plugs & a cool upstairs common area extension. Very welcoming.(Just found out there's also a terrace!) * Vending machine outside that's actually reasonable w/ pricing Absolutely loved my stay :) My only cons would be w/ the other people (non staff) just having generally bad etiquette (taking a call at 2am in the dorm, not even trying to whisper, rustling & rummaging through bags, loudly, late at night, slamming locker doors late & just generally not being mindful of others - being straight up rude tbh) but that's not on the place itself. A lot of it could be dealt with by having higher dorm bed walls (to the ceiling) & perhaps a curtain at the end so you're not exposed & signs reminding people to be mindful of others which would help people sleep better. Just a thought. But overall, very satisfied w/ my stay :)
