BEDBUGS Clothing damage WARNING!!! BEDBUGS!!!! I booked a room at this hostel and woke up in the middle of the night scratching like crazy. Turned on the light — the whole bed was infested with bedbugs, and I was covered in bites. I called the front desk. The staff didn't even bat an eye. They offered to switch my room and took all my belongings, claiming they'd send them to the dry cleaner and return them by morning. I specifically told them that some items required cold-water washing. What did I get back? My suit — now 2 cm shorter. Absolutely unacceptable. On top of being eaten alive by bedbugs, my clothes were destroyed too. The hotel assured me that I would be compensated for my damaged clothing, but no such compensation has been provided to date. I am now preparing a formal claim and will be pursuing this matter through legal channels. I strongly advise against staying at this property. Guests risk being bitten, and worse, they may inadvertently bring bedbugs into their own homes — which are notoriously difficult to eliminate. Additionally, the current standard of tourism infrastructure in this area does not justify the tourist tax of €3.50 per person per day.

We arrived to the hostel at 10 pm, but we left 2 hours later. Our private room was extremely small, looked more like a storage room. There was no space to open the luggage, so when we eventually managed to do it, we had to walk on it. To make matters worse, the door opens to the inside so leaving the room was an extra struggle. Also, the floor was dirty and there was weird smell inside the room. We wanted to stay there only one night and it was too late to look for another place, so we decided to just survive without complaining. After checking-in we decided to go to the town and eat something. When we returned to the hostel at midnight, I took a look at the bed and I found a bed bug. We left the room immediately and cancelled our stay. Now I regret not reading reviews earlier because after that, I found at least 15 comments about bed bugs. I'm still scared that I might have accidently taken them home.

We had bed bugs. Apparently, we were not the only ones. Please read comments here and Google Maps Reviews - this seems to be an ongoing issue since years. We didn't research before, got bitten and had to desinfect all of our luggage - still worried that we carried them home.

Zuerst das Positive: Die Lage ist ziemlich zentral, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Frühstück für den Preis in Ordnung. Jetzt zum negativen Aspekt: Mitten in der Nacht bemerkten wir Bettwanzen in nicht geringer Anzahl. Auch wenn wir glücklicherweise ein neues Zimmer bekamen, waren wir die halbe Nacht damit beschäftigt unser gesamtes Gepäck einmal abzusuchen, bekamen daher kaum Schlaf und selbst nach nur wenigen Stunden in dem Bettwanzen-Bett verließen wir Bratislava gespickt mit juckenden Bissen am ganzen Körper. Leider ignoriert das Hotel unsere Nachfrage nach einer Rückerstattung komplett. Das Hotel können wir nicht empfehlen, da der Bettwanzenbefall auch nicht im geringsten ernst genommen wurde.

La chambre était sale, traces sur les murs, les draps, la table. J’ai dû quitter l’hôtel après 2h parce que j’ai trouvé 2 punaises de lit en moins de 10mn.

The location is good, the capsule rooms were also a nice concept. However, after being bitten 10 times on my first night I discovered bed bugs crawling in my bed. I requested to be moved to a second room, and upon waking up on my second morning I woke up with more than 20 new bites and I found more bugs in the bed of the second room. I have seen other reviews talking about bites and ‘ants’ in their room, but I believe that this hostel is overrun with bedbugs. The staff also do not care.

Check in Sept 19, 2025. Firstly, I'd like to commend the night staff during my check in, she tried her very best to find solution ways around my room situation upon check in. Location is quite central on the pedestrianised area of Bratislava I. I booked a private 2.0 bed from their website which was confirmed and paid for in advance. My flight got delayed and I ended up arriving in the accommodation close to midnight only to find out there was no private room reserved for me, no email/call/text message whatsoever. I can no longer find other accommodation as it was already past midnight by then. Exhausted from the trip and frustrated with the situation, I conceded and accepted the capsule in a 6-bed room, the only one they have available at that time. Staff gave me a discount and processed a refund for my excess payment (still waiting to be posted in my account but its a weekend so fair enough), and offered me free drinks from the bar and free breakfast (which i missed, my fault). The capsule given (23-1) looked like someone was sleeping in it before me as the blanket was messy and it seem to have a faint smell of something. I informed the staff but since its the last one, I didn't really have a choice. Sleep was ok but evening after checkout (Sept 20) i noticed red bumps like insect marks all over my upper thighs and above both of my elbows which eventually started to itch so bad I had to take medications. I suspect bed bugs on the blanket as i used it as second pillow rather than a blanket, not a very good start of my leg of travel. Never in my hostel/hotel experience in my life have I been bitten with bed bugs so bad I had to leave a review. It was an awful night that ruined my experience days after.

Weird place to stay. No atmosphere, just old weird people. First bed I got was really smelly and dirty, they didn’t cleaned the sheets. Turns out molden food was under the mattress. After complaining I received a new bed - cleaner but still the old sheets with hairs from other ppl. After 3 nights I had weird bites or stitches all over my legs and arms - not sure if it’s bed bugs or something else. All in all I definetly was happy to leave this place and wouldn’t recommend it to other travelers.

Room 35 was infested with bed bugs, it looks nice but it is not worth having bites all over your body the morning after. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU INSPECT EVERY SINGLE CORNER OF YOUR ROOM. The front desk girl was very kind and the housekeepers too but that's the only good thing about this place. GOOGLE DOESN'T LET ME ATTACH THE PICTURES OF ALL THE BITES WE GOT BUT I HAVE PROOFS. WE NEED A REFUND

My room had bed bugs! Upon my return to the UK I had to immediately visit an Urgent Treatment Centre before I even could go home due to severe bed bug bites! My body, arms, even face where covered in bites and blisters which caused me extreme discomfort. I still have the scars now a full month later, despite a course of antibiotics and antihistamines.

Although this place is very well located, I would not recommend anyone to stay here. First, it does not look like the pictures at all and most importantly, it is full of bed bugs. They really need to do something about it.

Got bitten by bed bugs everywhere on my limbs. I was hesitant to write this review, but it's been three weeks now and some bite marks are still itchy. Since then, I've visited the dermatologist three times in my home country, still trying to figure out how to make these obvious red spots go away.

The bed was so dirty that it might have bed bugs. I only stayed at the hostel for a night; I noticed a few insect bites the next morning before check-out (which I didn't think too much of it then), but as the day progressed, my body started to react to the insect bites, and by the evening there were over 20 insect bites all over my arms and my right hip (it was -3C outside so the bites definitely came from the bed). These bite marks became so itchy that I had to visit a nurse at my doctor's practice the next week. After I posted a review on booking[dot]com, a manager phoned and offered to refund me, but he wanted me to Whatsapp him my bank details and delete my review, even though I paid via booking.com. I wrote back to him and told him to send any refund via the booking agent; 2 weeks later and I still haven't heard anything (reply or money) from them.

But as the day progressed, more and more areas became swollen and by the evening, I counted about 20 insect bites on body parts that are definitely covered by clothing like on the right hip and upper arm (bear in mind it is mid January and it's -3C outside).

Me mudaram de prédio para um prédio 5 minutos do hostel ! Até aí ok estava tudo bem mas fui todo picado por percevejos na cama estou todo com coceira pelo corpo tive custo com médico e medicamentos

Small rooms and we got a bed bugs 😒

BED BUGS, I eventually asked for a refund and since I cancelled my booking I couldn't leave a review on booking.com. That is why I leave it here. The hostel seemed nice and clean but as soon as I got into the bed this guy came. The receptionist laughed saying that it is just a normal bug but i am pretty sure it was not.
