I wish that I could like this hostel but I really can’t. I know that they say there technologically advanced, but it really felt like incompetence and buzzwords thrown into a hostel listing. I went with a group of students and we wanted to store our bags because we came a few hours before our check in. They made of store them in this little outdoor place just completely in the open. Even worse they forgot to mention that sprinklers come on so a bunch of peoples belongings got soaked. Including cameras and laptops, And they refused to take accountability for it! One groups room had bed bugs, breakfast was abysmal and repetitive. Several people got locked out of rooms and in bathrooms. Showering was horrendous. (They say they turn it off every few seconds to save water but really with the immense water pressure they aren’t really saving anything). They said that they needed out passports and once they took them all to photo copy they left them unattended and stacked along with the print outs of our passports. When asked if they could put them away they front desk responded with it’s fine, we do this alot nothings happened. Geez Louise. Relatively a 20 minute walk to the metro isn’t bad but I wouldn’t say it’s close to the city center. Rooms were small as hell and I don’t know why they made the distinctive choice to make those on the upper bunk share a ladder. All in all the worst part of coming to Barcelona. I wouldn’t suggest staying here in any capacity.

This was THE WORST place I have ever stayed. It felt like I was staying in a prison. Lights shut off at midnight, water turns off after every 17 seconds, and there were BED BUGS in one of the beds in our room. The workers tried to tell us it was our fault since our window was open, but the magnet that latched the window shut was broken when we first arrived and maintenance tried to come in 3 separate times to fix it since the AC didn't work if the magnet wasn't latched. After we told them we thought there was bed bugs, they had someone come in to take a look and never told us what they found, but told us that we were going to switch rooms. So when I got back into the room to move our stuff out, I checked myself and immediately found bed bugs under the sheets along with pee stains all over the mattress. When we tried to tell them that there were bed bugs, the workers tried to say that we brought them in. No one in the room had bites until we woke up the next morning after our first night stay. The area is also surrounded by slums, homeless people, and drug dealers. I barely felt safe just walking to the metro, but had to do it anyways since there was nothing in this area to do, so the metro was the only way to the better places in Barcelona with stuff to do. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
