   I do not know how this has good reviews. This is the worst living situation I have ever had. The bathrooms are filthy, the atmosphere is eerie, the other residents are very old and off-putting. The overall vibe is not good. They had no towels, removed your linens at random times from your bed, and the area smelled poorly. The outside area is not particularly safe either.

We also had food taken from us, money and blankets disappear. SCREEN YOUR GUESTS. I have never had such a sh** experience or had so much stuff stolen from me. This place is just not safe.

   relaxed atmosphere, fast internet. Probably fastest internet for any hostel I have stayed in. when you go out in Berlin and have a great night - you expect to be able to come back to bed and have a good sleep. TWO TIMES in my stay at comebackpackers, I came back to my room and someone was sleeping in my bed. TWO TIMES this happened. Comebackpackers has no numbering system for the beds, so people can just take your bed. Also the lockers are mostly broken and your padlock is no use. They need to fix all their lockers.

   Location good, staff and other quests were amazing and the roof terrace was great! There was an unpleasant smell in the corridor but not in the rooms gladly. The shower was full of ants. Also someone stole my chocolate from the common fridge and we heard that there has been a robbery of someones stuff just outside our room.

   The shower area was big and pretty clean. There were cleaners everyday. From the very beginning, it wasn’t pleasant having to carry our luggage three floors. Then, we did the check in and saw that the common space was a bit run down. The kitchen was always filthy and there was barely space to do the dishes. The toilets stank very badly, and it was common to find piss all over the floor. The hostel was also filled with dodgy people, who did no harm but loads of drugs instead. In one of the nights, we had random people entering to our room. Later on in our stay, it was recurrent for on of the receptionist to open the door without knocking first, just to check things with the lockers. Luckily I was staying with other friends and I didn’t feel so unsafe, but definitely, if you’re a solo traveler, avoid this hostel at all means.

   Met some nice backpackers there. Very dirty. I stayed here years ago when the owners were different and the hostel was completely different. I felt unsafe staying here as a guest had his belongings stolen, the place was dirty, and a particular dodgy guest was arrested (there are some dodgy people staying here). The prices are way too high for what they offer. The hostel feels like a halfway house and there are a few people staying there who don’t feel like a traveller/backpacker vibe. I would avoid staying here at all costs as a female traveller. They also do not offer female only dorm rooms which seems odd.

   The location was central. It was dirty and things are falling apart. Though we booked 2 beds, one of them was taken after we returned from our activities in the city. Reception was already closed, so all beds in the room except for 1 although we booked 2 and the sheets were taken ... After we told this at the reception the next morning, we got an answer that he is not allowed to refund us for 1 bed. Complained through booking and email to no result. And we heard from another person there that overbooking happened there to another person too the night before! So SCAM!!!! ATTENTION 🥲 Just horrible. never experienced something like that.

   Cool area for a hostel by night, seemed sketchy at first but turned out great. Smelly building overall. They warned us about black mold in our room but had us stay there anyway. Toilets were always a bit dirty, showers kinda awful (cold, extremely harsh pressure that hurt my skin, push-to-run shower heads that only spew water for like 5 seconds at a time, gross shower curtains). Locks wouldn’t work on the locker. Overall seemed a little weird, wouldn’t recommend if you can find something else.

   This hostel used to be really nice and the vibe was great. Now it feels like a homeless shelter…everyone staying are long term stay workers. I wouldn’t even call it a hostel nor recommend for anyone to stay in anymore. The security is also non existent, i found out in my last night that they gave someone else my locker keys and my stuff was just thrown on the floor. Avoid..

    Just dont book it. I repeat, dont book it. I booked the hostel for one night from hostel world where I already paid the advanced money. At the hostel world portal I was told that I just need to pay 8 euros after my arrival. However, when I reached there, I was asked to pay extra. The guy literally argued with me that this is how it works here and told me that they have nothing to do with the hostel world booking. I just aksed him that then why are you even on the portal of hostel world, for which he had no relevant answer. When I asked him to return my booking amount, the guy said it has been paid to hostel world. The staff was rude the hostel itself looks shady when you enter it and there is lack of transparency from hostelworld side and the hostel itself. Better book other hostels at the same price which are much more reliable. And last but not the least, dont look at the ratings on google. Now I am sure they are fake.

    Bad bathrooms, rooms weren’t very clean. I got in late and didn’t feel safe walking around as a solo female in the area. Once I got checked in I woke up to someone trying to get into my bed at 3 am because they put me in the wrong bed.

    I stayed in this hostel a few weeks ago and at first thought the hostel was alright (other than location) but then bedbugs were found in our room, which was dealt with very badly. I never normally give reviews, much less negative ones but I feel I need to share our experience with this hostel. Location: we arrived late at night and found it very difficult to find the door, my friend and I were wandering up and down and did not feel safe in the area at all. It's a bit better in the day but I did not feel safe there at night. Rooms: the hostel inside is alright, there were plenty of showers, the bedrooms were fine but the toilets smelt a bit. We didn't use the kitchen but that looked fine as well. For the first two nights we were happy in the hostel but on our second night, some people in our room found bedbugs. The staff came in with a flashlight and masking tape to remove them and nothing more was done. We slept in the room again for a third night, and only on the next day did they have pest removal people in. We walked into the room to find all the beds were stripped, everything moved, mattresses on the floor (see photos for proof) and all our stuff on the floor, with everything covered in some sort of repellant spray. A staff member came by and when we expressed shock about the state of the room, only offered us new bedding. Next thing, I looked over and saw a bedbug still on a mattress. We went to reception and were given a full refund and left the hostel as luckily it was our last night anyway. The next day I had several bites on my arm from bedbugs. I understand of course that bedbugs can happen anywhere (although the hostel should be better at enforcing people not using their own bedding) but the hostel did not do anything for over 24 hours to remove the bugs, and threw our stuff on the floor and expected us to reorganise the room. I would strongly urge people to reconsider if the cheap price per night is worth it, I wish I had paid slightly more and stayed somewhere nicer.

    Atrocious. Horrendous. Don’t stay here. The door is hard to find and in a sketchy area. My first night there a guy watched me change and took pictures of me. The hostel is disgusting and smells like raw sewage. there is black mold in the walls, I have asthma and it was extremely hard to breathe. the beds are gross and they don’t wash the comforters. stains on everything. the bathrooms are not clean and there is not any way to dry your hands, hair in the sink and no way to clean up after yourself. the light in the women’s bathroom is broken so you either have to shower in the dark or brave the men’s bathroom. the water pressure is horrible, and the shower curtains are moldy. construction on one of the toilets so there is raw sewage smell and a man carrying buckets of sewage down the hall. the staff was friendly but whenever we brought up concerns they acted surprised like they had no idea anything was wrong. the rooms were freezing and the window was broken. rats in the walls. a guy got here and immediately left because of a cheesy smell. he was smart. never comeback to comebackpackers.
