Bed bugs , unhygienic , faltu rules , bad stay

Stayed for a couple of nights but had to leave early because of bedbugs. Was enjoying up until that point.

There were Mosquitoes and i found bed bugs once when i was staying there.

Great location and wonderful common area & breakfast. But I’d avoid the female dorm! It’s incredibly cramped and smells of damp. I also got bed bugs. Understand this isn’t the fault of the hostel but they didn’t reply to my email when I informed them. So I would be a little concerned that they’re not very proactive in dealing with it.

PLEASE READ - I would give 0 stars to this place if it wasn’t for the lovely manager Abul and the beautiful group of travellers I met. A constant flow of bed bugs in every dorm (to the point of no sleep), a large dead rat in my bag and on the premise (often in bathrooms), and cctv cameras in every room which the owner can (and does) watch - this is ILLEGAL. There were a number of times I was changing and realised a camera was directly on me. Also cameras just outside the bathroom. I stayed here long enough to know this wasn’t a one time occurrence but a long standing issue A shame as the place is otherwise well kept and the workers really kind, just a shame the owner seems not to care about privacy.

Mould issues too which caused people who stayed a while to have a terrible cough. I stayed long enough to know this wasn’t a one time thing. Really cute hostel Nice hostel owner but bed bugs

bed bugs during my stay in the female dorm (only stayed the evening, left afterwards bc of that :/ nice people and social spaces however

1. Management is very money-minded and clearly plays favorites. 2. I had bedbugs and was gaslit to believe it wasn’t true, even after I took video that clearly showed it 3. A few days stay is ok, but if you stay longer, you will be treated poorly unless you regularly tip one of the staff, even if he does not act nicely. 4. There’s a set clique that is not open to newcomers or any kind of change. After staying for 3 weeks I tried to organize an event to spice things up. Even after telling me they were interested, this group of 10+ decided to ignore my event and go out for drinks instead. This was my final straw for leaving the place, after experiencing a general vibe of exclusion and disrespect for a while.

The hostel was in a more chilled area, Bandra, and there were plenty of bars, restaurants and street food nearby. The hostel had a good outdoor area and it was easy to chat to people - good hostel for solo travellers! Good free breakfast. The rooms were comfortable but a bit squished. The washing facilities were clean enough, although the showers were in the same cubicles as the toilets. A fellow guest reported that she got bed bugs 😬 I didn’t get any 😅

Found some bed bugs during my stay in the male dorm and was unable to get a full night's sleep as a result; bathrooms were crowded and unavailable during the mornings.

Basic hygiene was very poor in rest rooms and breakfast area. I found bed bugs biting me all night. It was overall a horrible stay. No value for money.

The place is ok but the dorm on the ground floor smelled really bad and there were some bed bugs.
