I found marks of bedbugs in the bed upon closer inspection. Luckily I had not unpacked any off my stuff yet, so I found another way more expensive accommodation and left in the middle of the night but was still charged for the first night. The area is also not a good one. My taxi driver warned me of two streets that are not safe, one of them being the very street of the accommodation and the other one the San Franzisko street the one parallel to it.

Teníamos 3 noches reservadas y solo pasamos la primera, vimos a la chinche a las 11 de la noche y al llamar a recepción nos dijo que él era el conserje y que hasta que no llegaran las recepcionistas a las 9 de la mañana, el no podía hacer nada. No nos ofreció otra habitación. Hemos puesto el caso en manos de booking porque no nos ofrecieron la devolución del dinero.

Stay very very far away. I will start off by saying the biggest issue is that my room (108) had bedbugs. There wasn’t staff available when I discovered the issue and I had to leave early the next day so I couldn’t speak to anyone in person. After several emails the staff hasn’t responded to any of my emails. Besides the bedbug issue, the photos are extremely different than the actual rooms. It’s a university dorm room with horribly small beds, uncomfortable and a useless kitchenette. The bathroom was another huge issue. The shower was a step in shower much like a bathtub except it is 2ftx2ft in size and half of the bottom of the shower floor is raised so your standing room is only 1ft big. It’s slanted as well like a sidewalk curb and I almost fell numerous times. The location is on the boarder of the San Francisco neighborhood which the receptionist circled and put a giant X through and told me not to walk in that area, especially not at night. To get to old town and the new downtown areas I felt very unsafe leaving the hostel until I got to the downtown area. I would take taxis home at night. There is no space for remote workers to effectively work. I would caution anyone from staying here.
