The location is great, which alongside the cat and the people I met, made an overall nice experience. There might be bedbugs. Besides that, the room space is tiny, the beds are tiny and there is basically no storage space. The staircases smell like pee. There is no real kitchen, just a microwave. The bathrooms are tiny and rarely super clean.

The staff was nice at first and we were able to have our bags in the hostel until check in. When we checked in, we got our room and checked for bed bugs under our bed, and we found under 2 of the mattresses (they were huge, watch video below. They had probably been there for a long time) and marks on all of the mattresses. A mixture of bed bug spots and just from lack of cleaning. We then switched rooms, but there were signs (spots on the mattresses) of bedbugs in that room as well, we decided that we were under no circumstances staying there. We went to the reception to get our money back, since the rooms were below all criticism, however the receptionist refused to let us get a refund as it was “non-refundable”. He started to take hits at us, since we didn’t want to stay there. He said (quote) “This (bed bugs, apparently) is what you get for 15 euros” and that we “came in and expected a five star hotel”, and that we were just paranoid about bed bugs in the second room, since there were bed bugs in the first. We asked what their procedure for getting rid of bed bugs was, and how they could reassure us that there were no bed bugs in the second room we got, he said that someone just cleaned the room. Which doesn’t get rid of bed bugs. We are aware that the receptionist may not have known about the bed bugs before we told him, but the handling of the situation was unprofessional and unacceptable, despite our calm approach when wanting our money back (which we never did). Do not recommend.
