Trotamundos Oaxaca Hostel

❌ Unsanitary hazardous conditions ☢️ I have to be brutally honest here to warn my beloved fellow travellers from this stay (can’t call it a hotel or hostel) The host seems nice and welcoming at first and also communicates well BUT it’s the most disgraceful stay I’ve seen during my world 🌍 tour as a solo traveller. The facts: - The single rooms are located opposite the street in like a fenced off side alley - There is a shared “kitchen” “shower” and 3x private rooms Health hazards: - When I had a closer look I discovered multiple dead cockroaches in my room, many very alive ones in the evening everywhere, hair in the sheets, food stains and leftovers on the supposedly fresh sheets, ear cotton swabs in the corners beside the bed of my private room, mouldy walls, insect nests on the walls, no trace of bed bugs but other travellers mentioned them and more like spider webs - you get the picture I assume… What I did was take my things, take some pictures for evidence, give back the key, told the owner to his face that he does not know how to clean and demanded a full refund via booking.com which he accepted - at least he did one thing right. For the owner: I don’t understand how you as an owner and host of a hostel can not inspect, care or have normal human dignity to offer basic clean rooms and allow these conditions - you created a filthy cuckooing like house that will make people sick 🤢 shame on you ! Absolutely disgusting - to my fellow travellers: don’t stay here!

Overpriced, poor cleaning, poor amenities, agressive staff, bed bugs, rust in the fridge
