This is Lisbon Hostel

Mon compagnon a été piqué par des punaises de lit durant notre séjour (il est allergique au piqûre) .
La première nuit : piqûres sur le bras.
La deuxième nuit : piqûres sur la tête et la paupière. Lorsque nous avons signalé le problème à l’accueil, on nous a d’abord affirmé qu’il s’agissait simplement de piqûres de moustiques, malgré la répétition des piqûres et leur évolution très caractéristique. Le personnel nous a ensuite donné des versions contradictoires : on nous a d’abord assuré qu’une désinfection des chambres était réalisée toutes les deux semaines, avant de nous indiquer finalement que la dernière désinfection datait du 16 avril (presque 1mois) Face à cette situation, nous avons dû écourter notre séjour, avec tout le stress, l’angoisse et les frais supplémentaires que cela a engendrés, sans parler de la peur de ramener des punaises chez nous.

This is a great hostel with an amazing view, the staff are all great, and the owner is thankfully an ethical person. Unfortunately, there were bed bug(s) in 2 of 3 private rooms we stayed in, and I feel that other travellers should be able to make an informed choice. We booked the Tejo twin room. Before we used the room, I saw a bed bug on a pillow, so we were upgraded to the Saudade double room. We saw the Tejo room being treated the next day. We had a great stay in the Saudade room for a couple nights. The Saudade room was no longer available so we then moved to the Pessoa twin room. Overnight, I was bitten 10 times under the sheets. When I informed them, the staff and owner were genuinely fantastic in their response, and refunded me for that night before I even asked. I feel conflicted posting this because of the great treatment from the staff and owner, I did not even receive such ethical treatment from a hotel in Lisbon 2X the price. In the end, I would want to know if an accommodation recently had bed bugs.

I have been bitten by bedbugs over 50 times , My body is full of red biting marks... So the beds on my room the 4 bed dorm room had realy bad Hygien.. Also the bath room was not clean (Shower) the staf was very friendly en giving good serviceBut the room turned out to be very bad.. The location with the best views of Lisbon was perfect.. But because of the bed bugs i will not comeback... Iam not blaming the checkin staf.. But this is an hounest review... M.R. Traveler advice: don’t stay there. I had to early finish my stay to go to another hostel because I barely wasn’t able to sleep for 3 nights due to the heat. Before booking I asked if they had air con or fans and they replied that they had not BUT the rooms had air circulation and due to the ventilation they never needed them. That isn’t the case. Rooms were like a sauna, everyone was suffering with the heat. I woke up multiple times during the night sweating like I was under the sun. It was also horrible during the day, no comfortable place to stay. Also but not less important, bathrooms were bad. Only 2 cabins, 3 showers that you have to keep pushing a button so water can come out. And to finish this terrible experience, I got bitten multiple times by bed bugs.

Bedbugs in the room. Unfortunately I found bedbugs in my bed, something that should not happen. I was very worried and disappointed. I immediately informed the staff who apologised for the incident, but the fact remains that there were bedbugs!

Dirty, noisy, smelly, uncomfortable and unfriendly staff. Just a nice view. · I planned to stay 4 nights, at the end, I left after the first night and even lost all the money because : - The room and toilets were dirty and no places to put your stuff (very narrow room) - The bunkbed was really uncomfortable (if one person moves, it shakes the whole bed) - It was mega noisy, the walls are thin like paper - The room smelled very strongly geranium essential oil or something - Only 2 shared toilets for at least 15 girls and nowhere to put your stuff - The bathroom and shower were dirty - I got bitten at night by maybe bedbugs!! - After one night, I told the staff I wanted to leave. He didn’t even ask me the reason!
