I stayed here for two nights, and the day I checked out realized that I was covered in bites. I checked the bed and there were bed bugs in my bed as well as all the other girls’ beds in my room, and crawling up the curtain. They canceled my reservation on hostelworld so I couldn’t make a review, but think I should let everyone know that there’s an issue and hopefully they resolve it. Thankfully I did receive a refund and they did my laundry for me, but a pain nonetheless EDIT: Just so the general public knows, these were fully mature bed bugs that had clearly been reproducing, so they would have had to have been in the room for weeks to get to that stage. None of us brought them, and saying that we did rather than taking accountability is extremely bad service.

The facilities were not very clean, the bedsheets were dirty, there is no air conditioned which made it impossible to stay there as it was hotter inside than outside, everything seemed old. A girl in the bunk beside me also found a bed bug which was horrifying.

Pros: it’s in a really great location, close to everything and 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The staff were helpful with booking tours and kayaks and catamarans etc. Our room was cleaned everyday, even the beds were made. As a group of 3 we enjoyed the 4 bed dorms, quite private and you got nice big lockers. The rooftop is pretty nice and kitchen is chill. Cons: beds very very creaky, and we kinda thought maybe bed bugs (two of us left with bites). Staff were nice enough but not overly friendly and there was no BBQ or dinners (might have been one night but they didn’t say anything and were really awkward/exclusive) and the pub crawl was a bit weird and disorganised (minimum of 10 people for it as well). No AC in rooms so quite hot, and lots of street noise. Toilet didn’t flush and shower got clogged after every use. For a hostel can’t complain to much, it was mostly clean and if there’s other friendly travellers then it’s a pretty decent atmosphere. Felt very safe and had a lot of fun in Lagos.

It’s uncomfortable to make such an accusation, but in retrospect, I think It may have had bed bugs. That or the mosquitos went wild on me both nights. Every morning I woke up with new itchy/painful bug bites.
