Downtown River Hostel

Greta staff but bed bugs, loud noise and acceptance of guest late in the night (up to 1:30 am) which disrupted others trying to sleep

The staff were nice, friendly and informative, there were curtains on the beds and showers/toilets were clean. However, there wasn't much of an atmosphere, and isnt any communal areas to relax (except the corridor outside the rooms). Worked as place to sleep for one night, but wouldnt recommend if you are a solo traveller looking to meet people. The pillows were not great and potentially had bed bugs (I had lots of bites in the morning but, tbf, couldnt find any bugs and didnt tell the staff)

I did not enjoy my stay here and will not be coming back. The location was really good, but the praise ends there. The first night I was woken up at midnight because 5 people had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. They said it was because the other room had bed bugs. I was then kept up for another hour while they moved in. And this is a minor grievance, but the automatic lights in the hallway turn off after three seconds of no movement. I found this extremely annoying.
