The Snug Airportel

We had a private room that we checked right after check in and found bedbugs in. We immediately pointed them out, hoping to get moved to a different room, and reception seemed very annoyed that we were putting them through a hassle because there was only one other room that would “have to be cleaned first.” We eventually asked for a refund so we could go to a hotel nearby instead but they refused, initially saying 50% and claiming the boss would not allow more because we’d booked online and so he couldn’t rebook that room to someone else that night (as though that would be an ok thing to do, given that there were bedbugs...). We negotiated it to 75% before finally leaving. They seemed to have no plans to deal with the bed bug problem besides tidying up the room, which wouldn’t get rid of them.

I respect the locations convenience and relatively nice features including pool. The reception service was also nice. The trip to here was ruined when we discovered bed bugs in our beds and was made worse when the management turned and refused to help compensate for this. Ruined what could have been a decent stay. Would like to give it 0 stars. On top of that, management even lied that they spray/check for bed bugs consistently. The reception didn't even know where their sprays are kept. Additionally when things got heated, management turned around and BLAMED US for bringing them in.
