   I booked the rooftop balcony private room as the rate was excellent for a private room in the centre of Paris. As it was a private room I did expect that the room would be good quality however I realized the “hostel standard” was throughout. The room was certainly worn and a little dirty in places. The shower took forever to get warm, I assume it was because I was on a higher floor. Even when the shower did get warm it was not very powerful. The bed was BAD. It was springy and hard and the pillows flat and lifeless. However, as i did not pay a fortune for Paris my rating reflects that but know those things. The thing that dissapointed me the most was the staff. They were RUDE. Every staff member I came in contact with. As a grown man I was spoken to like I was a school child multiple times by staff who certainly were younger than me. Totally unacceptable. The location however is good for visiting Paris but at night the outside of the Hostel did attract some intimidating crowds of youths and homeless. I would say if you are on a budget and you know what you are getting yourself into then stay here. If you have more to spend. Go somewhere else.

   No customer service at all. Cleaning guy stole my headphones as well. They have employees To write fake good reviews. At one point booked 7 people in a 4 bed room. Came in at 4:30am and someone was sleeping in my bed. When I checked with the guy downstairs he said it was only supposed to be 2 of us in the room. Next day they checked in two more people into the room. Spent all day figuring out who was supposed to be in the room and taking people’s stuff in and out. Said no charge for late check out. We explained the laundry machine and locker ate our change and asked if we could get it back. He said ok we will charge you for the late check out and then credit the change back on your card???? We explained that he just said no charge and he said yes but that was before you asked for your change and we are legally allowed to charge it. Ended up leaving without our change so that he didn’t charge us. In addition I emailed them beforehand to reserve two bottom beds, they confirmed it, and then completely disregarded it. Also charges 6 euro for towel rental, 5 euro for a 6 hour luggage storage before or after your stay and no soap in the bathroom dispensers. Faulty toilet paper dispenser and no replenishment of toilet paper.

   I stay in a hostel room. The room was very clean and well kept. I come to check in slightly earlier and they allow me to perform my early check in with the condition that I will only can get in to my room after the check in time. There are no complimentary storage and I had to pay about 5 Euro to store my bag. The condition to enter the locker area is that you must be in house guest and that is why they allow an early check in. I come back to this property after 2pm and I left my bicycle with double lock in front of the hostel where they have the designated bicycle parking. After two hours when I wanted to get my bicycle it went missing. I asked the security if any way I can review the CCTV or any option I can take to secure my bicycle but the answer is not helpful at all. I tried to attract the attention of the front desk personnel but they seems very busy and not even show any empathy. The next day when I want to check out I asked permission of i can store my bag while go out of town and I will come back to stay in this hostel. The answer is really sad me. I have to pay for the locker for an long as I leavey bag. I guess a hostel are a place where (at least some) people prefer to be economical and this property seems don't have that mindset. Trust I must remind myself that I'm in Paris and nothing is free here. Trust I have to remind myself that telling all this personal experience won't let them improve their service. Trust they deserve more than 3 star from other traveler.

   I first stayed here when I visited Paris years ago for the first time. I can go to better places now. But I chose this place because it’s convenient to go to the place I need to go and it’s a familiar place. While it has problems as mentioned by other reviews, I wouldn’t complain. I only paid like 20 euro per night in Paris for some nights. It’s only 20 euro the expectation shouldn’t be high. U have something unsatisfying, u gotta swallow it. But one thing at the last night of my stay this time I didn’t expect, is harassment. Yes, HARASSMENT… While I was taking a shower, some European young boys, 20ish, college freshman age, southern look were banging on the door. I was shocked. I opened the door and be ready for a confrontation. They quickly ran away from the bathroom at the second floor. I wanna emphasise again as it is paris, they were “white-as-porcelain” European youth. I saw them before in the corridor and when I entered the bathroom. They were the only ones there. And it happened within 20 seconds after I entered the shower. It’s 3 am. There was no others. I also saw them when they ran. My expectation is low for 20 euro stay. But Harassment while taking a shower is definitely not pleasant, even scary experience. Imagine this if it happened to a girl. I also reported. I understand that there is nothing they can actively do. Maybe it’s also beyond the normal task for the staff. I travel like 10 days a month. This is actually the first time I experienced harassment in a place. In general other travellers are very pleasant, especially solo travellers. But I guess people besides the unpleasant physical conditions also need to watch out for the harassment from the other guests.
