On the website it looks like one room with 4 double beds, instead it's a big complex with approximately 30 people in one room. Pretty sure we had bed bugs, I left you a message but you didn't answer which I find pretty irresponsible given there's gonna be new guests sleeping there. There's a loud humming noise in the night that makes ut hard to sleep.

The extraction fan in the bathroom (?) or air-conditioning was pretty loud, and I couldn't find a way to switch it off or turn it down. I don't know if that's even possible. But it was noisy enough that I found it difficult to sleep - and I had requested a quiet room. Another thing that bugged me was that the host, who was otherwise really friendly and helpful, that helped me with checking in, announced my room number to a room full of people. As a woman traveling alone and staying alone in a hotel room, that doesn't make me feel safe, because you don't know who's listening and what they'll do with that information. He certainly didn't have bad intentions, but it had me wondering if I should request a different room. When I was checking for bed bugs (which I do at every hotel I stay at) I noticed what looked like pubic hairs, stains and breadcrumbs on the mattress covers underneath the sheets. I've had my fair share of questionable hostels, so that didn't shake me too much, but for €100 a night I'd have preferred without the pubic hairs and breadcrumbs.

Análisis del ambiente
Bunk Hostel Utrecht sits inside a former church, and that building is the headline. The interior feels big and distinctive, with vaulted ceilings, strong design, and a look that makes the place feel far from standard hostel territory. The pods are a strong fit for privacy and sleep. They can feel cosy, secure, and quiet, with lockers underneath, thick curtains, and mood lighting. Bathrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the whole setup works well for people who want their own space without giving up a dorm-style stay. There is also a practical side to the place: it works for laptop time, reading, and meeting up over drinks. The ground-floor restaurant and bar give the building a lively center, and the location is very handy for the station and the city center.

- Some rooms are compact, and a few private rooms feel very small.
- The ground-floor restaurant can bring noise into parts of the building.
- This is stronger for sleep and workspace than for a big hostel social scene.
