Wifi is pretty slow at 4mbps, there was also a bed bug scare while I was there

I'm pretty sure there were bed bugs in the 16bed dorm room I was in. Honestly would have liked a heads up from staff. I take responsibility a bit because two other reviewers mentioned this in the reviews I didn't read before booking. The Staff was relatively friendly, and the hostel would have been good. Bed bugs travel with luggage, but eggs can be hoovered up with thourough cleaning. Bed bug fumigation and powder are an ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT to get rid of infestations. Please take it seriously.

Pros: - Very friendly and helpful staff - Breakfast for 4 euros - Beds are comfortable & warm Cons: - Very bad neighbourhood - Got bitten by bed bugs - Not many international people stay here, the hostel is full of older men and women (40/50+) and the remaining crowd is very French. If you are looking for an international hostel & to meet people from different cultures, I don't recommend staying here!

No me gustó nada. És la peor experiencia de hostales que he vivido nunca. La gente te mira muy mal, te sientes observado. Por la noche es insoportable dormir por: el miedo a los chinches y insectos. Por la gente que hay en la habitación y por los ronquidos que no te dejan cerrar ojo. El hostal es un sitio sucio y poco fiable. A poco fiable me refiero a: no se pueden vender diciendo que pueden haber insectos en su propio hostal, en que puede ser que roben tus pertenencias. Es cierto que la honestidad es muy importante, pero hasta cierto punto y, más si te lo dicen cuando estas pagando y a altas horas de la noche. Me sabe mal porque nunca hago malas reseñas pero esta, esta experiencia no la recomiendo.

Bed bugs galore. They do clean a lot so I feel bad for them but the couches in the common room have bed bugs and got me bad found them in my hair which was very gross. They did do my laundry complimentary but once you have them it’s hard to get rid of them. They are now in the lining of my back pack and on clothes which can’t be washed in high heat which is what kills them. It was a cool place it reminded me of a school camp lodge.

16 OCT *BEDBUGS* Upon arrival I sat in the common space and saw a bedbug crawling on me. I gave a warning to the reception and they said they had warnings from other clients and they can treat it case by case. I understand that it would be inconvenient to the hostel business-wise to communicate this issue to travellers. However, it is extremely concerning that each traveller is potentially streading the bedbugs from this hostel to others, to all types of public spaces and to their own homes. This is a public health hazard. I don't recommend staying here as it is infested. If not for this, I am sure this is a wonderful hostel to stay at with friendly staff. But not in this period...

Le Flâneur Guesthouse Lyon est infecté de punaises de lit en ce moment. J'y ai séjourné le 3 octobre 2023 et le 13 octobre. J'ai été piquée 40 fois par des punaises de lit. Nuit blanche. Sueurs froides, malgré une équipe sympathique qui tente de gérer la crise, les gros dégâts sanitaires sont la pour le client. Évidement, zero geste commercial en dédommagement (même pas une boisson offerte pendant cette nuit horrible, encore moins un geste sur la résa) Pour moi le Flâneur c'est finito ! Je tiens à alerter les suivant(e)s... Fuyons !

I came for one weekend to stay at Flâneur ghesthouse, but I could not stay: I found bed bugs in my room. Immediately I asked to leave and to be refunded. They did not refunde me for the 3 days that I have first payed, I needed to “fight” for be refunded at least 2 days, what I think it was not fair because I did my check in around 5 pm and I left the hostel around midnight, and it was for a unsanitary reason.

L’endroit en lui même est assez sympa, une jolie cour interne qui permet de passer une belle soirée. Cependant, y dormir était un réel enfer. Pas de Clim, deux pauvres ventilateurs pour un dortoir avec 15 personnes. C’était horrible. Et bonus, j’ai chopé des punaises de lit! Super…

horrible ! a fuir, surtout pour les filles qui voyagent seules 5 minutes après être arrivées, plusieurs pokemons rares sont venus nous parler/déranger/ casser les pieds on a partagé la chambre avec une personne super désagréable qui passait d’un lit à l’autre, était agressif et irrespectueux la femme de ménage passe le matin nettoyer même si vous dormez encore (la totale: balais, pièce, douche…) après on entend dans le couloir une dame se plaindre qu’il y a des punaises de lit ici. Bref, on devait rester deux nuits, mais on a fuit immédiatement. On dort mieux en prison
