Ik had wat hogere verwachtingen. Toen ik aankwam voelde ik mij niet meteen heel welkom. Ook vond ik het best wel vies overal, ik zag veel muizen en ratten lopen. Ook liep er muis in de badkamer. Nadat ik hier had geslapen, had ik overal bultjes van bedwantsen. Misschien was het voor mij gewoon dikke pech, maar ik zou er niet nog een keer naartoe gaan.

I was here Jan 2023 in the 6 bed female dorm. I think everything is well worth the price (especially breakfast and dinner included!!) except I got a bunch of bedbug bites after the first night, and more after the second. I've come across bedbugs on prior travels and know the signs, bites, etc. I don't think it is the their fault; it's probably something all hostels deal with at some point. To my knowledge the owner took the necessary precautions and let me change rooms/do laundry free of charge.

WARNING BED BUGS! This hostel has a major bed bug infestation and the staff do not care about it. I found fully grown bed bugs on four different bunks in the female and mixed dorms. The guy on reception told me I would find bed bugs in all the bunks if I looked hard enough. He also said they clean the rooms but the bed bugs always come back so what's the point. Eventually they put me in the private villa as they've not had any issues with bed bugs there. Also do not go on the tour they offer to Bromo and Ijen. The agency they go through have terrible customer service and the drivers are sleazy.

Bedbugs and incompetent staff.

Nice stay and excellent breakfast. Included Laura sitting and helping people with their plans. BUT we had BEDBUGS. Infrastructure is not very good. Close to the railway station but this is the only plus. Spend a few rupiah more and stay somewhere in the center around Parangtritis road. Much more shops and restaurants if you plan a longer stay.
