Hotel Altona**

My only gripe is the shower drain did not drain quickly so the shower pan kept filling up but for a one night stay only it was a minor issue.

BED BUGS!!! At about midnight I discovered several bed bugs in my room. I took photos, squashed them, and showed reception. They managed to change me into a new room, but I'd already been exposed for 10 hours. It was my last night in Europe and I had an early flight so I said I'd email once home to discuss. They've since refused to refund my stay after I've spent considerable time and money carefully laundering all my things so I didn't bring the bugs home.

Terrible service. The hotel called us a few hours BEFORE check in, asking us if we wanted to cancel our booking due to our comments in the booking which only said I have high allergy and need the room to be clean and that we would like a quite room on a high floor. Since the hotel could not guarantee for this they asked if we wanted to cancel the room free of charge, but they asked us a just a few hours before check in.. Also the room smelled terrible, the entire room was covered in the smell of smoke. The bed sheet were dirty. I hope there’s no bed bugs there considering how dirty our hotel room was.

I don't think there were many people staying while we were there which is just as well because I suspect the noise insulation is not up to much. On the second night there were people in the room above us and we could here them walking around (at 2am!!) and their muffled conversation.

Het ontbijt was toch wel pover. Het kostte ook niet veel in vergelijking met elders maar het was er dan ook naar. Het was niet slecht maar weinig.

Unventilated and felt a bit drowsy, I prefer fresh air circulation. Some weird sound when the bathroom door was closed, probably the sound passed from small hole and it felt like whistle, haha.
