Eco Hostel

Nach vielen Anrufen beim Vermieter konnten wir nach einiger Zeit erst das Hostel betreten. Wir haben uns sehr unsicher gefühlt, es waren nur ein bis zwei andere Personen dort… der Manager war nett und hilfsbereit aber nach den Rezensionen waren wir uns nicht sicher ob die Bettwanzen wirklich beseitigt wurden. Auf Nachfrage meinte der Vermieter alles wäre desinfiziert worden. Es gab neue, frische Bettwäsche aber überall lagen Säcke mit Bettwäsche. Insgesamt nicht sehr einladend, lieber woanders!

Bed bugs and unprofessional staff!! My friends and I stayed at this seemingly perfect and pristine hostel (9.2 rating on hostel world) a month ago and were left extremely distressed and disappointed with our entire experience there. Our room was infested with bed bugs, which had been brought to the attention of the staff many weeks prior, however nothing had been done to successfully remove the infestation. After consulting the house keeper and owner of what we had discovered they both seemed nothing short of Blaise and unapologetic and even had the nerve to say that it was “not his fault”. We were offered different beds in the same room but after discovering more live bed bugs crawling over the mirror and walls we had to put our foot down and refuse to sleep in the room. After leaving the hostel we were promised a full refund of 1 night only, (we were booked to stay 2) and this brought on yet another headache. Countless ignored emails and the owner claiming we gave incorrect details, after getting hostel world involved we have finally received our refund. Needless to say we are less than impressed with our time involved with this hostel and would not wish the experience on our worst enemies. Causing stress and unnecessary money being spent buying new bags and clothes as ours had been completely riddled. Please be wary when staying here as the unprofessionalism of the owner is disturbing and needs to be made aware of.

First impression of the hostel was very good. Modern and welcoming! Our check-in was postponed to 18h and later to 20h, due to a big cleaning. After coming back to the hostel to sleep, we saw bed bugs and made the reception aware. We were taken to an alternative accommodation, which, as we found out later, had very poor reviews, in a bad neighboorhood and was also infested with bedbugs. We end up sleeping very poorly that night and could not attend our trip to Etna the next day. When we made the Eco Hostel aware of the bedbugs in the alternative place, they did not really acted. We were very disappointed and in the end we picked out something new by ourself. After all, we had the feeling that the hostel does not care about the well-being of its customers. And unfortunately they did not inform the other people in the room about the problem. Hope they do something about it but our experience was not enjoyable.

Lamentable. Allí son todo buenas caras y falsa amabilidad. Una de las peores experiencias de mi vida. Había chinches en el hostel y su falta de higiene me fastidió enormemente el resto de mi viaje. Me prometieron el reembolso de parte del dinero y todavía no lo han hecho. Unos impresentables. Esperando sigo...
