A decent hostel, slightly more expensive than I would have liked to pay, but the facilities made up for it. The only issues were someone in my room found bedbugs which the hostel resolved the issue, by moving us rooms and did our washing. And also the food in the fridge you don’t have to label your food and what day you check out, this prevents food going missing and out of date food in fridge.

Location was perfect and had lots of things going I in the day / evening so good social vibes. Football tour was a bit of a rip off as the stadium was only a third full. Knocked it down for cleanliness as I had loads of bites on my legs one morning when I woke up that the doctor told me were bed bugs (couldn’t find any in the bed though) but they washed all my clothes for free which was nice of them. Food also very average in comparison to other Viajeros

I did see a bed bug in a 4 bed dorm on the 5th floor. Staff was incredibly helpful in helping me fumigate/dry all my belongings, move me to another room, etc. It did not seem to be a widespread problem but be careful to check the beds thoroughly. Atmosphere was great for socializing

There were bedbugs in my room and for the first night they couldn’t switch my room. ended up being fine and they were super helpful about it. really nice hostel with amazing rooftop and lots of nice areas to hangout.

La azotea es el motor principal del Hostal Viajero Medellín: música, bebidas, eventos, bares y jacuzzis hacen que sea fácil conectar con el lado de fiesta de El Poblado. El albergue se encuentra en una zona fuerte para restaurantes y vida nocturna, con el metro accesible a pie si no le importa un paseo más concurrido. Este es un albergue grande y pulido con una escala de hotel. Hay visitas organizadas, un área de ocio en el sótano con ping pong, acceso compartido a la cocina, casilleros o almacenamiento cerrable, y instalaciones de dormitorio que pueden incluir cortinas de privacidad, enchufes y ventiladores. Lo mejor es un viaje social construido alrededor de la energía de la azotea, recorridos por la ciudad y noches tardías. El tradeoff es que puede parecer más comercial que acogedor. La vida social se inclina mucho hacia la bebida y los planes en la azotea, mientras que el espacio de reunión durante el día puede parecer menos natural. Las habitaciones privadas pueden no parecer un buen precio, especialmente si son pequeñas, calientes, ruidosas o carecen de comodidades simples.

- El ruido puede ser intenso desde el techo, la calle, el río, los pasillos y la vida nocturna cercana, por lo que no es una elección de sueño primero.
- Algunas habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado, poca conexión Wi-Fi, ventiladores ruidosos, paredes delgadas, camas duras o instalaciones básicas para habitaciones privadas.
- Los precios pueden parecer altos, con cargos adicionales por toallas, bebidas, excursiones, juegos, agua, comida y otros artículos básicos.
- El servicio puede ser desigual, y el registro puede ser lento o con muchos formularios.
- La limpieza y el mantenimiento pueden ser inconsistentes, incluyendo problemas con baños, ropa de cama, bañeras de hidromasaje, equipo de cocina y mantenimiento de la habitación.
- La seguridad y el manejo de problemas pueden parecer demasiado holgados para objetos de valor, almacenamiento de alimentos, equipaje o incidentes graves.
