Stadtaffe - Chic Hostel VIE

I paid for a lock for the "locker" under my bed to keep my valuables, as soon as i opened the locker door the whole door came off from the hinges. I took a photo and went to reception immediately to tell them of the issue. I was told this would be fixed the following day. It was not and no offer of a refund for money paid for the key was offered either. The beds were also not very clean, lots of random stray hairs in the bed, my first night this caused me to be very itchy though i did not see any signs of bed bugs which i guess is the only saving grace

I got bed bugs here, BEWARE. The price is good for Vienna but the hostel kind of had a weird, not super social vibe. The ape mascot was creepy, pictures of it all over the hostel, very strange branding decision.

전반적으로 깨끗하다고 생각했으나 빈대에 물렸습니다.. 사진에 보시는대로 얼굴, 팔 등에 물려서 물린 흉터가 1달이 지났는데도 남아 짜증나네요.. 이불을 안고 잤는데 이불에 닿은 부분이 다 물렸습니다.(목 얼굴 팔 몸통...) 6개월 이상 유럽 여행하면서 한 번도 빈대 구경도 못했습니다. 빈대 스프레이 꼭 준비하시고 나무프레임 조심하세요ㅠㅠ 빈대 자체 사진을 못 찍어서 그런지 자기들이 확인했는데 없었다고 환불이나 대처 못 받았네요. 다른데서 잔 것도 아닌데 그럼 대체 어디서 물렸을까요? 저처럼 괜히 피곤한 일 만들지 마시고 위치도 애매하고 동네 분위기가 조금 무서워 비추입니다. I stayed at Stadtaffe Hostel for 2 nights and had an incredibly distressing experience that I feel compelled to share. During my stay, I suffered a severe allergic reaction, which I believe was caused by bed bug bites. The reaction was so severe that it affected my face, causing significant discomfort and emotional distress. Despite my efforts to document the issue, including providing medic@l certification that aligns with the timing of my stay, I have yet to receive a response from either the hostel or Booking.com. This lack of communication has only added to my frustration and disappointment. I trusted Booking.com and Stadtaffe Hostel to provide safe and clean accommodations, but this experience has severely impacted that trust. I hope my review will serve as a caution to others and prompt the necessary actions from the hostel and Booking.com to address such serious issues promptly. This situation has been extremely disheartening, and I hope no other guest has to endure what I did.
