One of the worst hostels I have stayed in during my 3 years of travelling in SEA. The only good thing is that there are curtains on the bed, but there are many better options to stay in Vientiane at a similar price. The owner is so arrogant, it's unbelievable- they can not handle any critical comments. It's not the customers' fault that you are bad at managing this hostel. There were bedbugs, once notified the worker showed no compassion, acting as if it did not surprise her at all. After asking they offered another bed. But they made the bed where there were bedbugs and checked in someone else the same night. If they actually cared about the problem they would not give out a bed with bedbugs to another person checking in the same day! Bathrooms were so dirty in the morning and stayed like that until they had a cleaning shift in the evening. That means overflowing trash, no toilet paper. They should add one mid-day cleaning and then it would be doable. Shower pressure was very poor. The hand soap dispenser was always empty in the bathroom sink area. Also, some of the people staying there gave a very sketchy vibe, that's ofc not the hostel's fault but just notifying the fellow travellers.

Be careful because they have BEDBUGS at least in some rooms. Once they were notified about the problem, they were just offering other bed, changed the sheets in the one were they had bedbugs and they gave bed out to next person who checked in. So they don't really care about this problem. There was breakfast included, but it was very basic - bread and eggs- no seasoning.. The whole place needs a deep clean, the outdoor kitchen area is always quite dirty. There was no soap in the bathroom sink. Trash cans are always overflowing. There was some weird crowd there as well. Someone even broke the shower glass door for no good reason in the middle of the day. Water pressure was very poor. AC in the room was dripping water and there's carpet on the floor so most likely there's some mold in the room as well. Lots of mosquitos in the room as well, quite impossible to sleep without mosquito spray.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. There were bed bugs in the room — I was literally woken up by one in my bed. When I informed the staff, they did absolutely nothing. No apology, no gesture, no solution. They clearly didn’t care at all. On top of that, the shared room was full of very strange people, some of them groaning, making noises, creating an uncomfortable and unsafe atmosphere. I do not recommend this place at all, whether you are a woman or a man. As a woman, I felt especially unsafe. This place is unhygienic, poorly managed, and disrespectful to guests. Avoid at all costs.

Comfortable beds, good size common area, great price. And the staff were kind and helpful. …. Almost left super pleased with our stay. Until I found a bed bug in my bed early in the morning and I woke up with 4 bites.

It was so comfortable to sleep here. I came from another hostel and it was full of bedbugs. I asked the front desk if it was the same here and they told me that if there were bedbugs, they would definitely waive my room fee. I also asked other guests here and they all told me it was clean. The staff told me that people from nearby hostels deliberately came here to give them bad reviews. I think this is despicable behavior.

Owner is a bit cuckoo. If you wanna support real Laotians, stay elsewhere. You can see from owner's responses to guests' negative reviews that he's a bit unhinged. Maybe that's why he had to leave China. He does seem to get along with Chinese guests though. Definitely not the kind of person I'd wanna support in running a hospitality business 🤷 luckily there are many other good options in Vientiane. I honestly do not appreciate his crazy AI camera surveillance at the breakfast buffet to police how many eggs people eat. This is soooo china style crazy control. I can't stand this kind of mentality. It is very telling that he uses his surveillance only to satisfy his paranoia but not actually to keep people's belongings safe. When I lost my charger which was plugged in at my bed, he could not help me by checking surveillance. How odd! Also, I had to change beds because of bed bug infestation. If you ever had bed bugs, you know how they can ruin your holiday completely. This is very serious. Location of the hostel is pretty good though. And you can rent motorbikes which is convenient. The price is good too. So weigh your options. Enjoy Laos!

Too many beds within a single room, poorly ventilated, very limited breakfast (may as well exclude!), bugs.

I have lived here for a month. Only room 4 had bed bugs because someone brought cats and dogs to sleep there. There were no bed bugs in other rooms. The boss was very nice and closed the room with bugs the next day. I think this is something that no businessman can do.

- found bed bugs (and eggs) in the curtains of my bed and got bit several times. I don’t usually leave negative reviews on hostels because I don’t like hurting peoples’ businesses but this time felt appropriate. I found many bed bugs and eggs in the bed curtains on my second night. No I did not bring the bugs from being out and about during the day, I always shower as soon as I get to my room and never lay in bed in my outside clothes. I had woken up earlier that morning with bites on my neck and legs but assumed it was just mosquito bites (definitely not). I notified the staff immediately when I discovered the bugs and they had me change rooms. I checked out early the next morning and got a refund (maybe just partial? can’t remember) for the remaining night I was supposed to stay. Staff were very kind about it but still a cleanliness issue! I would upload documentation of the bugs but unfortunately only took a video and can only upload photos on Booking.com. - breakfast is very mid, not expecting anything amazing but didn’t even have the proper glassware for guests and also no soap to clean your dishes after (EW).

Bed bugs. Poor water pressure in the showers. Weird sockets in the rooms. European sockets were available just in the common area.

Señales a revisar
