Vang Vieng Santara Backpackers Hostel

The room I stayed in had bed bugs, and ants crawling all around my friends bed. The sheets had questionable stains, as well. Staff were friendly and the location is nice, though.

Bedbugs

When we got there we realised there were bed bugs in the room, so we talked with one of the staff and he moved us to another room straight away, the place is not that clean. But it is cheap. We had another issue with the tour they sell in the hostel, with a terrible company, we paid 45$ each person for a full day tour, to go to few places and more important to me the Blue Lagoons were 1/2/3, I asked them how long we would stay there, once I really would like to enjoy it, and they said around 45-75min each lagoon. However on the day of the tour we had to wait too much time because the tour was so unorganised, the guides put people from different tours with us and at the end of the day they follow more a tour half of our price than ours, and we had 20min in each lagoon with the guide being rude and rushing us all the time, when I got to the hostel I talked with the staff and they said they would ask for refund, however they probably didn’t do it and started avoiding me to not give me a position about the situation. Once they sell it in the hostel they are responsible for the quality of the tour as well, and it seems they just care about the money. If you want a better experience and treatment you can find other hostels around the city for sure

Bathroom was always dirty and smelly and there were bed bugs

Quarto estava sujo, banheiro todo quebrado, eles nao trocam a roupa de cama e tinha bedbugs no colchão. Tive que sair e mandar lavar todas minhas roupas e malas
