Ace Inn Shinjuku

If you’re considering staying at this hostel, please, don’t do this to yourself! There are many other places in Tokyo that offer a better service. It ruined my first few days in the city, that’s how bad it was. The curtains on the beds are half broken, everyone can see inside, so it’s not really a capsule hostel. The manager is the rudest person I’ve ever met. He also works for like 12 hours a day almost everyday from what I’ve seen, maybe that’s why he hates the guests so much. It’s in shinjuku but very far away from shinjuku station. It also looks like they’re short on staff so don’t expect anything to be clean.

Bed bugs. Bad neighbourhood. Unhygienic. It's better to be homeless.

Beware of bed bugs! Stayed on the 5th floor of the Ace Inn and was attacked by a swarm of bed bugs. Originally thought it was mosquito bites, then allergic reaction but eventually after a lot of sleepless nights of googling what was going on concluded that it had to be bed bugs. My entire back is covered with bites and has made my trip very unpleasant. If you search ace inn bed bugs you can see another case of a guest being bitten on the 5th floor in July 2015. This is clear negligence from the staff.
