Best Western El Sitio Hotel

The pool area and around the inside of the hotel isn’t bad and appears very well taken care of. I loved the waterfall in the pool and the straw huts. The lounge chairs are very nice and even have a shade attached. The restaurant is at the pool which is nice if you want a drink. They have thick toilet paper. Lol. An older television that offers one English Channel. I would have streamed on my phone, but the WiFi didn’t cooperate. I thought a Best Western would be better, but I think they are really depreciating these days. The hotel room itself could use some updates. The floor was laminate, which is nice, but the beds were so hard, I mean it felt like prison hard. No flex at all. The pillows weren’t great and the linens are the ugliest striped blue and white. No duvet, extra blanket… nothing! Just a thin, ugly sheet. The WiFi connection was hit and miss while in the room. The pool area seemed to work better, but that still sucked. The most frightening experience of our lives: Was awoken to very loud, felt like right outside our window, gun shots. We couldn’t believe it. We wouldn’t stay here again. I felt like a roach or bed bug could crawl out at anytime. Luckily, we didn’t see any. Shew!

Pretty grounds, friendly staff. Shower dirty, bathroom falling apart, bugs in room (not bedbugs), noisy peacocks.
