Single Fin Surf Hostel

I noticed a large stain under the bed and various pieces of rubbish in the corner. The cleanliness was far from what I expected. My bad - I decided to stay… During the first night, I was bitten several times, three bites on my cheek and one on my little toe. The bites clearly looked like bed bug bites, fortunately I woke up after just a few. I am allergic to them and had a strong reaction, my whole cheek became swollen got next 3 days and I needed medication. The volunteers working at the hostel were kind and friendly, but they suggested that the bites may have come from an ant or a spider. I was later informed that other guests stayed in the same room (after vacuuming, without proper desinfection) after me and did not report any problems. Owner said they didn’t find bedbugs. I was also told that next time I should stay in a hotel instead. When I asked for a refund, I was told that I could receive one if I left a positive review. Because of this experience, I reported the case to Booking.com. I appreciate the kindness of the volunteers, but unfortunately this situation had a serious impact on my stay. I am sharing my experience so that future guests are aware of what happened.

The hygiene and the atmosphere is weird.. I don't understand why the hostel is so highly rated. I stayed there one night to catch the plane the next day. In the women's room (which is normally secure). A man came in every 30 minutes... I have pimples that have appeared on my arms, like bedbug pimples.... In the rooms, it's super hot, I can't imagine in summer... in addition, you could hear the cars going by as if surrounded by the road around them... and they don't leave the people sleeping, turning on the lights to see who's still there. The shower shared people go to the toilet with the door open and don't flush... and it's pretty dirty overall. The man at reception was kind and hospitable. But I also went to get something to eat, the doors were closed and we had to wait in front for 20 minutes with two or three people. The village isn't too interesting, except maybe for the little port which is cute. Nevertheless, the bus to the airport is next door, I was able to take the first one of the day as I hadn't slept... they'll offer to take you to the airport for 25 euro but the bus is 2 euro for 30min.
