La Guitarra Hostel Gdansk

Paid 45 a night, was worried by the reviews but the rooms were perfectly okay. Got a key card for the room+locker, right next to WW2 museum which is eye opening and great for a morning walk. No bedbugs like some reviews saying.

Hi. I stayed there for two nights with my girlfriend. There was one young staff member working hard alone, but it looked like she really needed a coworker. The door lock of the room we booked had a problem, so the staff changed the room for us, and she had to run back to the hostel and back again to check if the lock was really damaged. Thanks for her effort, but I found a giant bedbug where we stayed. I’ve seen bedbugs in many other countries, but this was the worst. Congratulations. Cleaning was greati could smell fresh dried bleach but I saw door frames and others like building, doona covers Pillow is too old.

Even though the staff was very nice and the location was great, my stay was horrible. I got bedbugs here. Furthermore, the first night the people in my room came in clearly drunk at 0:30 loudly putting on the light to wake up their friend. At around 4 they came back with a girl who did not seem to belong in the hostel, leaving at 6. Needless to say I did not get much sleep. As a woman traveling alone I felt very unsafe.

Beware, bed bugs! I caught bed bugs here during my 2 night stay. Also atmosphere is not very nice and rather anonymous.
