Kitchen could get a bit cramped and the bunks do squeak but nitpicking aside this is a beautiful hostel

Dans mon couchage présence de punaises de lit. L'établissement nie avoir des punaises. C'était ma première nuit en écosse. Les nuits précédentes étant chez moi et je n'ai pas de problème. Dans celui de mon amie un grand trou dans le matelas.

Great location, very convenient. Staff very good, ready to help. Unfortunately there were bedbugs in my room. They quickly did laundry including my clothes and sprayed. Not sure if that gets them all but no more bites for the remainder of my stay.

BED BUGS on premises, avoid!!! I have been bitten all over my face, arms and hands.

I regret to choose this hostel so bad....:( I have 20 BED BUGS bites on me... When I checked in, the staff was very nice and I had good impression! But the nightmare started on the first morning when I woke up... First morning I found some insect bites on my wrists and my ankles, total is 4. I thought it was just mosquitoes. The day after, I found more new bites! I’ve stayed in many hostels but this never happened on me. When I moved into the room, the bed wasn’t made, so I doubted maybe they didn’t change the sheets? I went talk to the girl manager, I tried to show my bites and explain what happened on me, I just want them to check and change the sheet for me. The girl was rude and impolite, she said she’s busy having many things to do, she will check when she has time. I asked her when is she going to check and get back to me? She got impatient and said to me I’m annoying her. I felt no respect and she didn’t take it seriously, of course she didn’t as the bites is not on her. I felt hurting and disappointed, this wasn’t a correct customer service. And this is very important and big issue, it might happen in other people and the bites are very itchy and uncomfortable. She called me at 11 and said there’s no problems with the bed, she can arrange me to another bed at the room next to. I thought it’s gonna be alright, when I woke up I spoke to the hostel said I was okay, then I found out more bites!! I searched and went to pharmacy again, it’s high possibility there’re BED BUGS bites. There’re 2 or 3 bites close to each other. All of them are on the part of my body wasn’t cover by clothes and touched the surface of bed when I’m sleeping. This is very disgusting, I bin the clothes and put other things in dyer machine. Except BED BUGS, Can’t straight my back in the bottom bed, It’s very old hostel with bad equipments and facilities. Also no reading light, it’s a bit inconvenient. Alos doors and beds make lots noise....:(
