St Christopher's Inn Edinburgh - Old Town

We had the worst experience at this hostel we stayed there for a night and room was smelling very bad and there was a green light that wasn’t turning off, people were extremely loud and creepy and after our first night we went out and at night when we got back we saw that whole room is empty no sheets and only our bags are there we went to reception and after making us wait for 10-15 min they told us that there was bed bugs in the room and they can’t accommodate anyone in that room and we had 2 more nights. It was the worse experience and we had to find a new place and pay double the price.

Tinha insetos no quarto,formigas com asa e um outro inseto que andava pela minha cama e levei a recepção para garantir que não fosse percevejo.Os funcionários foram dois dias seguidos ao quarto diante da minha reclamação mas não tomaram medidas eficientes como desocupar o quarto para dedetizar.Na segunda vez o funcionário me olhou com cara de paisagem e disse que em 3 anos que trabalhava lá nunca tinha acontecido....oi???Então será que eu plantei formigas com asas e outro inseto na cama pq n tinha o que fazer?Na última noite a cereja do bolo foi acordar às 4 da manhã com o cara que dormia na cama de cima vomitando na minha cama e no banheiro todo,desci para reclamar e o rapaz da recepção,que aliás foi muito atencioso,me colocou noutro quarto em uma cama onde tinha já alguém dormindo.Voltei para a recepção depois de buscar minhas coisas no quarto vomitado e ter encontrado lá o rapaz da limpeza trocando a roupa da minha cama pensando que eu voltaria a dormir lá enquanto o bêbado dormia na cama de cima no próprio vômito pois ninguém conseguiu acorda-lo! Foi uma tragédia minha experiência nesse hostel ,são péssimos administradores de crise e as instalações são velhas,decadentes e sujas!Localização excelente mas....

Major Concern: Bed Bugs: Unfortunately, we encountered bed bugs during our stay. While we understand the challenges of rectifying this, this issue needs immediate attention. Regular fumigation of beds and mattresses can help and I've known other places that do it. Both my partner and I experienced itching the day after sleeping on the beds. Though the bed sheets were clean, they alone are insufficient to address this problem. Minor Concerns: Additional Key Card Charge: Charging extra for a key card for each guest in a booking of two beds seemed unreasonable. Limited Common Area Space: The common area around the reception is quite small, accommodating only about 10 people, which makes it difficult to find a place to relax. Noise Levels: Although the noise levels were better than expected, they were still somewhat high, which might be a concern for light sleepers.

Bedbugs. Bad wifi.

Staff was unfriendly when checking out, The chill out room next to the locker room absolutely stank Toilets were dirty because people were not flashing them and there wasn't enough room for your personal belongings so the person in the bunk below mine was drying her clothes on my bed...

I stayed 2 nights, my bed had BED BUGS !!!!!!!! 😱 The reception changed the sheet but they did not Care more AVOID this place!!! Go to Code Court instead!!
